i dont know if they are going to put 2 or 3 womens' matches on RLA. if it is 3, i'd think they would be martina-vera, mary-nicole and kim-cho

I think this issue was raised in another thread. But anyway, I do not think there are any other marque match ups in the first round and with all of the attention Martina has generated with her comeback, I expect her to debut here in Rod Laver arena in the featured match on her day. Vera is not a nobody herself, so that will help, too.

Incidentally, there has apparently been a tremendous interest in betting on her since the announcement of her comeback, with odds for hew now down to about 20 or 21 to one. There is an article about all the punters rushing to get money down on her, which has lowered the odds on her considerably.

I think Hingis will be on center court and probably get a huge reception from the fans when she makes her initial appearance.

That's exactly what I was going to say:p
If it is only two on RLA, I think Pierce-Pratt will be on Vodafone.

I would be pretty certain Hingis v Vera will be on Rod Laver Arena for sure.

It's probably more a question of will it be a day or night match?

Rod Laver Arena is similar to Vodafone Arena but RLA are more popular!
Margaret Court Arena is the next one
then Show court 2, 3 and 4!!
more courts are all just average but smaller than 2, 3 and 4

Rod Laver... She's the huge star in the bottom half of the draw. Even my non-tennis friends want to check her out in the Ao 2006.

I hope she will be arranged to be played on the biggest court where the whole word can have a glance on how graceful she is and what has she been doing to make a comeback! :)

It has to be the Rod Laver court.
She is 3 time champ, 3 time runner up and there is huge interest in her return.
I think she will be the third match, when people get home from work and Mary- Nicole will be the night match.

On Tuesday there will be 3 men's matches on centre court and only 2 Women's. The Men on centre will be Hewitt, Federer and Philippoussis and the Women will be Kim and more than likely Martina, I would be suprised if she wasn't on centre court. (better be during the day, as I will be there) (http://www.australianopen.com/en_AU/bios/ms/atpp338.html)
