In a Civil Law country, all her remaining assets (with a few exceptions) would be seized and auctioned to make money to cover at least part of the debt.

I've heard that in the US, you just claim personal bankruptcy and you're clear.

She'll have to go work at McDonald's or offer to be Maria Sharapova's hitting target, oops, I mean, partner, hitting partner. ;) She has to pay it all back somehow. She'll have 2 years to do it.
