(If healthy) Serena, Venus, Elena, Kuznetsova, and Vaidisova could make for some really interesting round of 16 matches, the top eight better be prepared.

The #10 and #13 seeds have been in the same half twice in the previous five draws ('01 and '05), so the odds appear to be in Venus and Serena's favor. If they are on opposite halves this time, they WILL meet in the final. THAT'S RIGHT, I SAID IT!!

I hope Venus and Serena are on opposite sides, I don't want this match at R16.

It's impossible for them to meet in the Round of 16

No she was one spot behind Mirza. If any of the seeds pulled out, she would have been.

Venus and Serena can't meet before the semifinals right? Cuz 1-4 plays 13-16 and 5-8 plays 9-12? Wait, or is that the quarterfinals that they can't meet till?

I'm happy for Sania, one year after coming in as an alternative to the Asian Wild card she's a seed.

Myskina's 2005 - no 3 seed
2006- 3 x 4 = 12

Dementieva 2005 - no 6 seed
2006 - 6 + 3 = 9

Davenport 1 all the way

Sharapova was fourth last year too right?
