Just to let you know that Rita has officially retired. :sad:
After struggling with a tennis elbow injury for 2 years her ranking sadly slumped, at this stage in her career it was going to be extremely difficult to regain a high enough ranking to gain automatic entry into top tour events.
I'll miss seeing her smile and sweet personality at tournaments.

dreadful news :sad: :sad: :sad: not unexpected though...Italy loses Silvia and Rita at the same time, the 2 best players of the last 10 years.....
They have opened the way to the many good players Italy has now, so a big THANK YOU to these ladies that have brought the italian tennis to such a high level, with their game but even more with their talent, professionalism and sweet character...:kiss: I'll miss them and their tennis so much :sad:
