   The first half of the draw is much more difficult than the second one. Looks like Ansley will have no big problems reaching the final.
It looks someone is doing a voodoo job with Ashley H. ;) She got the worst draw possible right from the beginning. If she wants to win the event these could be her opponents: 1st r: T. Ashley(3), 2nd r: J.Jankovic, QF: J.Steck(7), SF: E.De Lone(1), F: A. Cargill(2)
Jessica    she was ok physically this time
2-10 this season pf
Congratulations Melissa not surprised of you you have been doing pretty well this year. wd

Erika vs. Cory Ann. Nuts.
Well good luck to both. Always a mixed bag when two of your favorites play each other. You know one will win and one will lose.

Sunitha Rao seems to be playing very well lately. The victory over Cargill is a great win. I believe she is a serve and volley player. Has anyone seen her play?
May 10th, 2002, 05:22 AM
Yeeeeeeeehaw! Way to go Ashley, Sunitha, and Rachel! You win the entire thing Harkleroad!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Too bad Ansley and Cory Ann...you'll do better at the next tourny!
May 10th, 2002, 12:00 PM
I was at the tourney yesterday and did see her play. She basically just wore Cargill out, appeared to be in better condition and looked to be another solid baseliner. A player who I think will go a long way in the future is Salome. Although she did lose to Czink who, incidentally is very impressive, Salome is a tremendous athlete, has great shot variety and looks to be able to do anything with the ball. She did not go the academy route, consequently has a lot of individuality in her game and Andrew Richardson her coach has done an excellent job with her. She is also quite a character and extremely feisty. Unfortunately, at the moment this is letting her down somewhat, but as she matures (she is after all only sixteen) I think she will definetly be one to watch.

Does Sunitha have top 50 or top 100 potential?
May 10th, 2002, 05:11 PM
OMG Salome
Nice comments from dunlop though. Thanks

Great job Ashley, good win :)
She needs to gain all the points she can get as she's losing a lot this week.
Also congrats to Sunitha, great win!
Too bad for Jackie :(
May 10th, 2002, 10:19 PM
Andrew Richardson....... must be that same Brit guy ....... at least he did play on ATP, some coaches never do.
