Leni is 3rd on court which could be about 2/2.30am CET. If I'm still awake then I'll probably check in on the scores, otherwise I'll just have to hope to find a great result in the morning!

Come on Leni!....Looking forward to the doubles too - what a pairing! :D

Great victory. Now she can play with more confidence.
I didn't see anywhere the match in doubles between Daniilidou-Garrigues vs Castano-Zing being sceduled but a Greek newspaper says Lena and Anabel won in first round 6-4, 6-4. So if that's right it's two victories for Lena yesterday. I think you're in the right track Lena!!

PHEW! Finally! I relitively easy win for Eleni - I'm so happy and relieved for her :D Well done Eleni - that was great :woohoo:

She and Anabel also did win doubles fairly easily, 6-4, 6-4. Could this mean that Eleni is gaining confidence and improving her serve? Perhaps too early to tell but I hope she continues to carry this form through!

One more thing....Eleni is first on against Peer today at 11am (Canberra time) which is about 9pm CET. I think that's correct, I always struggle with working out times when having to go forward, I find it easier working out times for the USA - not sure why...?

 I'm a bit rubbish at this time difference thing - I was counting forwards instead of backwards - DOH!

Well, if it's 1am CET, I'll probably still be awake o if there are live scores somewhere, I might follow them!

Pame Eleni! :woohoo:

 injury!? Oh no!

Not long fo the AO, hope she gets better soon. It's sad to see her struggling for fitness but at the same time, trying to get back to where she was in the world of tennis.

Hopefully it's not hugely serious and that the withdrawal was more precautionary than anything. Eleni struggles with her serve as it is so a shoulder injury isn't going to do her much good.

poor Leni.
