QF: Viktoria Azarenka (BLR) def Nicole Vaidisova (CZE) 7-6, 7-5.
SF: Ana Ivanovic (SCG) def Viktoria Azarenka 6-0, 1-6, 12-10.

So Azarenka beat world no.15 Vaidisova, and stretched no.16 Ivanovic to 12-10 in the third set. Also keep in mind that Azarenka is younger than these two opponents.

After looking at these results, without doubt Azarenka should be one of the big movers this year. Very promising young player :)

Fine, but when Azarenka reaches the top 10, the bandwagon will not be accepting you! ;)

At this stage that is definately a fair statement, but she is still so very young. She has beaten some decent players on the WTA such as Stosur, Arvidsson, Peng ect to highlight her huge potential.

Yes I would agree with that.

that Wim SF when Vika lost to Ana, it was a bit of a shock as well.

Vika will go places.
she's a girl with attitude and with weapons and a pretty good serve (1st and 2nd)

I remember this semifinal against Ana
They both had MPs and I was sooo nervous (because of Ana :))
But it seems that Vika is improving a bit slower then this two.

Vika is a really nice girl, with Anci, Misa and Vika we'll have some very interesting tennis in years to come as well with Lucie, Sesil and other kids :) Time to end: Hingis, Williams, Belgian Era, and step up!
