I have got to admit that Elena Dementieva really played well both yesterday and today's matches. She played really well and also good groundies. I also think she has her serve under controle now.

No surprise.Lena, and Jie run like the wind.Lindsay and Nicole put together wouldn't be able to cover as much court as Lena alone. :)

I wouldn't judge her serve just yet. Better to judge that once we see how it holds up in true competition. :)

Well done Lena/Jie, I know its early days but the way Lena is playing I'd say she will be in the shake up at the OZ open. Tbh I'm happy to have Lindsay out of the doubles, I don't know why she risks it with how easily her body can break down.

Jie Zheng has such a different style of serving!

and Nicole serve is really huge, but she really lacks consistency! :( Be more patient Nicole!

Lindsay and Nicole were a bad team... I wasn't impressed by Lindsay's lack of encouragement to Nicole and they barely communicated. Elena and Jie were positive and very consistant whereas Lindsay and Nicole always looked like they were heading towards an error. Way too many doubles from both of them too.

Jie and LenaD just got everything back, and are more natural together.

The one ace was by Zheng Jie and it was so slow and short that Lindsay thought it was out and didn't try and get it :tape:

Not surprising at all. Elena/Jie are the better doubles players.

Vaidisova and Davenport seemed very uncomfortable with each other, like they didn't want to play together.

This might be a stupid question, but how were the doubles formed? Did the exhibition decide who plays with who?

I thought Jie's serve was funny, how she always held up the racket ;)

Elena and Jie played great together. They should play doubles in GS together.
Elena played unbelievable shots. Her form is awesome. I hope she maintains that because she has very much chance to win AO. ;)

So Serena isn't competition for Elena :p
I think he means proper tournaments :p

Not an overly surprising result. Nicole isn't really a doubles player.
