Congrats Martina and Tatiana!

WOW! Who would've thought that Martina would get to the semi's of both the singles and doubles in her first tournament back!?!?!? :worship:

And it also means that at the very least she'll have had SEVEN matches this week - very nice practice for the Aus Open. Add to that however many matches she gets next week in Sydney and she should be quite prepared for the Oz! :D :bounce:

Jan 5th, 2006, 12:21 PM
Wow! :yeah: :bounce:
I really believed in Martina's comeback and hoped she'll do great, but winning singles and doubles, that's just too good! :worship: :D
Go Martina & Tati!! :woohoo:

Jan 5th, 2006, 12:23 PM
I am starting feel worried, will Martina be too tired? She has committed to chains of Tournaments!

But Afterall it's really impressive! Go Girls!

Jan 5th, 2006, 12:24 PM
:bounce: :bounce: However, i think she shouldn't play doubles in Sidney

Jan 5th, 2006, 12:26 PM
congrats girls :D

:bounce: :bounce: However, i think she shouldn't play doubles in Sidney

I know, i'm getting worried that she's going to play too much and tire herself out......but seeing that i'm going to Sydney and I LOVE seeing her play doubles - it's always so exciting and entertaining, there's a part of me that's really selfish and hopes she plays doubles at Sydney! ;) lol

I do think Black/Stubbs will be a little tough at the moment though :(

Jan 5th, 2006, 12:31 PM
this team is rocking! :rocker2:

Jan 5th, 2006, 01:25 PM
Congrats to tati and martina! :bounce:

Well at the minute martina is 5/5 in wins, yu can't as for much more than that. I just hope she doesn't play too much before the Aussie open.

I'm worried, too. I sort of think Martina under estimated herself. She entered two tune up tournaments before the AO to make sure she got enough match play in. But she's already played five matches now in less than five days and that does not give her body much time to recuperate, especially in those blistering Australian temperatures.

I know she is trying to get match tough and to regain her anticipation and timing, which comes for her with a lot of play. But she is walking a fine line between preparation and over playing in the heat. We'll see what happens.

 Go Martina & Tati for your first title as a team

Jan 5th, 2006, 04:25 PM
Team Hotness .

At least Tati's winning doubles. Good luck against Black/Stubbs

Jan 5th, 2006, 04:42 PM
Next match is the real test as to whether martina is a top contender for the AO doubles title.... i believe stubs/black won wimbledon?

Jan 5th, 2006, 04:48 PM
Bravo GirLs =)

Jan 5th, 2006, 07:08 PM

Next match will be much more difficult.

Jan 5th, 2006, 07:20 PM
What a great combination :D I really wish I was in Sydney to watch this pair! Well done again girls!

Jan 5th, 2006, 07:58 PM
Great win :yeah:

Jan 5th, 2006, 08:00 PM
that's so awesome!!

Jan 5th, 2006, 08:31 PM
I don't see why people are acting so surprised that Martina is doing well, she is one of the best players EVER, and is WELL rested ;)

Jan 5th, 2006, 09:15 PM
Yes, I don't think that even Martina herself expected to be playing this much. She was probably counting on a couple of matches here and a couple of matches in Sydney. Hopefully she won't be too tired at the Aus Open. Playing this many matches in a row after a long layoff is sure to bring some sores, but as long as those sores are kept under control, she should be fine.

I'm not liking Tati's new look.
