Didn't like Hingis back then (I saw her as a parvenue, and thouroughly enjoyed her '99 RG meltdown), so I see no reason to begin liking her now.

If she loses to Pennetta, fine.

If she wins, on to face the wrath of the Scourge of the Steppe. And consider permanent retirement during the match.

Vives did beat the number two seed Schiavone lopsidely, so obviously she was playing well. Hingis kicked it up another notch in that match in the third though and I hope she picks up where she left off. I don't want to jinx her, but I'll say Martina in 3, 6-3, 4-6, 6-2. Wouldn't be surprised either way though.
