I'm not sure where the pic was taken. It was submitted to a photography forum today. I'm guessing it's very recent - probably taken within the past few days in Australia. If you really want to know, go to the photographer's website. He probably has an email link there.

Several people commented that Karolina's eyes aren't on the ball. I can tell you from experience that it's quite rare for a player to have her eyes on the ball, or anywhere near the ball, at point of contact. I have many pictures with the ball on, or very nearly on the strings, and the player almost always has her eyes turned towards the direction she's hitting. Barbara Schett was one who kept her eyes on the ball longer than most.
