12 months are almost over, but S. Williams would be a candidate. Although sucked might not be the correct phrase. She can still turn the wheel though.

Are there any?

To clarify, you mean from the week after they won to the first/second week of their title defense?

Sveta K. & Nastya's time in-between were quite low.

I released a lot of crap in the 1959-1960 range.

Well, I've never won a Grand Slam, but I think I can safely say the rest of the thread topic is a no-brainer for anyone who knows me...

You know, thinking about it, Serena didn't exactly set the world on fire in 2000. She ended 1999 great, but 2000 was pretty dull.

:yeah: Conchita struggled as well.

Huh? She made 4 slam semifinals in '95 and won like six decent titles and ended No. 2 in the world. :bounce:

conchita just had bad spell from September 04 until the end of season where she was 50-50. mostly because of the indoor carpets where she did as well as normal, which is not that great anyway for a top-3 player. the US Open 04 was poor, but to say she struggled for 12 months after Wimbledon is a bit silly, considering she was the player to beat in 1995 (excepting Steffi of course).
