 Why isn't she playing any tournaments in the 1 week???
Dec 29th, 2005, 07:02 PM
I thought she was playing Gold Coast!
Dec 29th, 2005, 07:27 PM
she was second in the next in the qualification ;9
i think she cant enter ;(
Dec 29th, 2005, 08:30 PM
Stephanie was supposed to be in, as she is ranked higher than few players who got in. No idea why she isn't in there as she said numerous times she would play GC.
She seemed sure from the get go that she would play it. Even when she was down in the alternate list. Makes me wondering about a WC into the main draw, though i certainly wonder why she would get one.
Dec 29th, 2005, 09:31 PM
Yeah, me too I tough about a WC
But it's impossible because 3 Wc has be given...
Dec 30th, 2005, 03:40 AM
thats strange
Dec 30th, 2005, 04:04 AM
Either Steph arrived too late in Gold Coast, which would surprise me, or she is nursing a serious injury and didn't go at all in Australia, or got a minor injury and is nursing it for the AO.
Jan 5th, 2006, 06:36 PM
did anyone get the inside on steph??
Jan 6th, 2006, 04:49 AM
Nothing yet....Hope everything is alright, I'm pretty sure she left for Australia or else I would have had some news earlier...
Jan 10th, 2006, 06:12 PM
Well it seems it is a major injury because she withdrew of the Aussie Open
Jan 12th, 2006, 03:42 AM
Well it finally seems like Steph had a minor foot injury, but it prevented her from training before the Australian Open, so she chose not to fly only for that cause she didn't think she was prepared enough. She should be training by now for her start in Wakaiola and then Rockford with her final to defend!
Jan 13th, 2006, 05:27 PM
good luck Steph, come back strong
Jan 22nd, 2006, 04:19 PM
Well i got some news :D
Stephanie's injury was an inflammation in her left foot. She couldn't train for a few weeks, and had a cortisone shot which stopped that inflammation. She trained ahrd for the past weeks, and is now in Waikoloa, Hawaii, to play in her first tournament of 2006. She is there with Marie-Eve and they are enjoying the view of dolphins from their hotel room. I'm so jealous of their lives ;)

$25 K ITF tourney in Rockland Illinois
Stephanie DUBOIS (CAN) defeated Greta ARN (GER) 46 63 64
Feb 1st, 2006, 10:07 PM
It was 2-6 in the first ;)
Well Steph had to fight really hard during that match. First, Greta's serve was on fire in the first. She did up to 11 aces in that set  Then Steph started having some back problems, I hope nothing too serious. But she started to read the serve better and then started player better of her own!
Well I hope this will motivate her, it was a tough first round to defend her title! Now get confidence Steph!
Feb 3rd, 2006, 02:05 AM
Dubois looking solid at ITF tourney
2/2/2006 6:30:25 PM
ROCKFORD, Ill. (CP) - Stephanie Dubois of Laval, Que., defeated Olga Govortsova of Belarus 6-3, 2-6, 6-2 in the second round of an International Tennis Federation tournament Thursday.
''I started the match very well but I made some costly mistakes in the second set while she didn't make too many and was able to come back in the match,'' said Dubois. ''But I was very strong in the final set and did not leave her much room on the court.''
Dubois seems to be recovering well from a foot injury she sustained last December.
''I can still feel some pain but I'm happy I was able to play the way I did today,'' she said.

Mar 7th, 2006, 05:33 AM
Sorry Steph!!! Don't despair, stay focussed and come out strong in your next Tournament!
Mar 7th, 2006, 10:45 PM
That next tourney will be Orange next week, so far she is in qualies!
Mar 12th, 2006, 09:23 PM
Steph is the 8th seed of the qualies, she will face WC Kim-Ahn Nguyen in the first round.
Alves and Hisamatsu are the toughest players of her draw, and steph most likely will face one of the two in the final round.
Mar 13th, 2006, 04:51 PM
Well Steph won 6-0 6-3, she will face Zahlavova next round, who is having a very bad year so far! Hisamatsu lost in a tough three-setter also, so that opens steph's draw a lil, though alves is never easy!
Mar 14th, 2006, 01:49 AM
Stephanie won 7-6(3) 6-3, tougher than I expected, but she won, that's the important part!
She will face Romana Tedjakusuma in the final round, who beat Alves 7-6(6) in the third.
Mar 19th, 2006, 06:15 PM

Dubois reaches career high ranking
9/27/2006 3:13:35 PM
Stephanie Dubois of Laval, Quebec, has earned her way to a career-high No. 115 ranking on the Sony Ericsson WTA Tour. She jumped seven spots after advancing to the quarter-finals of the $75,000 ColemanVision Tennis Championship in New Mexico this past week.
The 19-year-old Fed Cup team member has a 29-19 record during 2006 and has moved 18 spots from her 2005 season-ending ranking of No. 133.
Sep 30th, 2006, 06:47 PM
If Steph keeps this up, she can break the top 100 next year.
That would be awesome! :yeah:
