Elena plays Philly <- it's official now!!

Russian Elena Dementieva will take part in Advanta Championships that will settle in Philadelphia next week.


The tournament in Philadelphia is the last before WTA Championships. This year there will be: Maria Sharapova, Serena and Venus Williams, Lindsay Davenport, Patty Schnyder and others top tennis-players of the world.

(but Venus is out btw)

i hope she doesn't get a tough draw

Well first round bye...because she's seeded 4th!

She will make a good job there, anyone who's not with my opinion?

I`m making no predictions this time around, I predicted she will go all the way in Linz :tape:

i am never sure i like these 1st rnd byes ,Elena often needs a little canon fodder to get her started ,and starting in the second tround often means facing a good players whos match ready ,but HOPEFULLY Elenas draw will be kind to the semis or something....

she seems tired in Linz but hope that she will do something great in Philadelphia. trust in her ;)

ohh. is she really playing philly.. i wish i could go and see her play...
i'm so close to philly (kind of) just 3 hours away... but i can't go this year...
hopefully she and nastya will come next year....
