if Vee is healthy then i think she will win.

Hopefully she will have a great week in Philly to get her game back after being off for a while, and then take the YEC home!

Go Venus!!!!!!!!!!

Kim or Lindsay. Probably Kim, since she always seems to play with confidence at the YEC, while Lindsay has become a big choker with the big occasions.

Kim vs. Lindz in final with Kim winning

Bubba08

Maria Sharapova.

I know, I know. No rational person could defend that answer. There's no tennis based reason to think that's going to happen. But I have the same feeling I had before the QF at Wimbledon in 2004. The stars are going to align for her. And we will have to endure a return of the breathless, eternal, mindless hype we spent 12 months listening to from Wimbledon 2004 to WImbledon 2005.

definitely Clijsters to win it.

the top 3 faves going into the YEC would be Lindsay, Mary, and Kimmie. I think Patty could do a lot of damage here since she's not tired yet

Well I'm voting Kim and I definitely hope she will. But Lindsay has been playing well lately as well.

Looking at the poll results - the two things that surprise me are:

Kim is way out in the lead. I'd have thought it would be much closer between Kim and Lindsay.
There are so many votes for Venus - considering she's unlikely now to even qualify and be there.

I made the poll too early, they didn't know that Venus might not play there
and Clijsters, well it 's Clijsters :p

Me thinks Clijsters or Davenport.

:haha: Didnt have to scroll down too far. Ditto.

On current form and given their indoor records either Davenport or Clijster, giving a slight edge to Clijsters, her games seems so well suited to the indoor courts.

If Mauresmo hadn't made the semis last year, I bet she would bail on the YEC this year. The way she's been playing, I have a feeling she'll be the Zvonareva/Dementieva of this year's YEC.

I'll be shocked if we don't have a Davenport/Clijsters final.

Isn't the YEC played on a relatively slow indoor surface? If so, then I would go with Kim. If it's faster than I heard, then Lindsay.

well, everybody's prepared to see Kim or Lindsay holding the YEC. i'm rootin for Lindsay....that would be a big pleasure to see Momo winning but..but.

It would be rather anti climatic if these two dont meet in the finals. Having it this way would only be very suiting since both would be fighting for the year end #1.

Kimmeth will win.

I sure hope so it would only validate her fanstastic year. Besides she didnt get a chance to defend her twice championship status in 2004.

All current signs point to either Kim or Lindsay, but I'm gonna be a biased loyal supporter and hope Maria defends her title successfully. We'll see how she does in Philly first I guess.
