She's likely to finish the Race on 11th position (considering Serena's withdrawal).
If Venus, Justine and Amelie withdraw, she's in.

Vote!

I think its unlikely to be honest - the best chance she has is as an alternate, where she may play if someone withdraws.

I doubt Amelie will withdraw. :)

With Justine & Venus, well I just dont know. :(

that would be horrible.
I think Dechy isn't the kind of player who helps the wta to promote tennis

really hope that not so many players withdraw

She has very faw chance to enter in the Master, she needs 3 withdrawals which is a bit too much to happen

If she's is in that would be a pretty weak YEC :tape:

Go Nat!

Sadly, I doubt it

And Nathalie is a very talented player, so...

I wish she makes it and she and Patty end up in my faves' group :)

That would be horrible! She wouldn't win more than 8 games in three matches.

Uh huh. You clearly know nothing about tennis. :)

No, but if she does, that will mark a low point in women's tennis.

Seriously. :scared:

I dont think Venus will withdraw, so NO, the chances of her getting in are very slim!!

I'm thinking Justine will be the only no-show... strange for Dementieva to give up if thats the case...

I don't think so, but she's the kind of players that always puts a fight when playing the big guns. She doesn't usually win, but there's usually a close set.

And her game is attractive, despite what people here might say. One of the most consistent players on the tour.

Doubtful.

Doubtful.

Ditto. The top stars are injured/exhausted, but they still plan on going.

Davenport-fine
Clijsters-fine
Sharapova-pectoral injury, but has not said a word about withdrawing from Philly or the YEC. She'll play through it.
Pierce-injured, but withdrawing from just about everything before the YEC to ensure that she is there. Still a toss-up I suppose.
Mauresmo-withdrawing from her remaining tournaments to be ready for the YEC. She'll be there.
Henin-Hardenne-will likely take the fine and pull out.
Schnyder-fine
Venus-injured, but so far plans on going to Philly and the YEC still.

Dechy's only chance would be for Pierce's injury to be more serious than she's actually letting on and then have one of the other players really injure themselves during practice.

Pierce and Mauresmo could realistically pull out though, so she's got a very outside chance of playing. 5% or less.

She could go as alternate. Maria, Henin, Venus, Amelie could skip it if they are not 100% fit.

I find it amazing so many people are attacking Nathalie. She's the #13 player in the world, for God's sake. She can beat anyone on a given day.
