I guess she needs a tournament to play since the actual WTA season will be done for the year by the start of this tournament:tape:
This is absolutely insane. She's already played 29 weeks this year:rolleyes:

Its not that mad when you think about it. She lives[b] in Scottsdale which [b]isnt that far from Tucson, both in Arizona so its not really travelling to another tournament

and why not.......probably a chance to get more points and more practise and maybe give herself a chance to end the year in the Top20.

She was badly injured in Moscow, maybe she just wants some practice to test that ankle. Give her a break please!

Perhaps Anna-Lena committed to this tournament earlier in the year and didn't want to disappoint the organizers. That should be commended, not criticized.
Besides, as someone said, it's not like she has to fly half-way around the world to play. It's practically in her own backyard.
Maria S. is going to Japan to play a series of exhibitions in December. She's being paid a ton of money but the girl needs to REST. Her father is working her like a mule. It reminds me of what Jen Cap's daddy did to her and we know how that turned out.:fiery:

Yep, she lost to Bychkova 7-6 6-1. Bychkova ended up runner up in that tournament to none other than Michaella Krajeck!
