Alicia Molik (AUS) (8) vs Jelena Jankovic (SCG)
Ana Ivanovic (SCG) vs Tatiana Golovin (FRA)

hasn't everyone been injured recently?

2nd year in a row. considering recent results, i think tati has a good shot at winning. or it might be the player who's closest to 100%.

This is a pretty deep field so the draw was bound to be tough. If Tati can get past Ana I think she will be able to beat either Jankovic or Molik.

Ivanovic is injured and so is Tati though. Hopefully she's recovered.

Her match last season against ana was close and she was leading all the time before she tanked. Tati can win this one with her new self-confidence and her current form. Here's hoping Tati's recovered and getting her revenge. :aparty:

Tati needs to skip Zurich from next year onwards. Seriously. 2 heartbreaking losses in a row :bigcry:.

Oct 18th, 2005, 08:49 PM
On the brighter note. Tati fought soo hard and didn't give up. She was down 4-6 2-5 and then saved 3 MPs at 3-5 and went on to take 5 games straight. Third set down 0-3, but fought back to 3-3 then choked and down 3-5 but battled it back to 5-5 and end of the fight.

The last point was seemingly not fair.

yukon145
Oct 18th, 2005, 08:49 PM
its a sad loss, but im proud of Tati. she fought very hard and could have lost it 2-6, 2-6. she will beat Ivanovic soon enough, and the day she does i will celebrate. rest up Tati, you fought hard and i love you.

Oct 18th, 2005, 08:50 PM
what was the last point, everyone said a bad overrule???

JS
Oct 18th, 2005, 08:54 PM
... Yes, so sad, she she fought so hard, it was great to see! Those match points, I couldn't belive it!! And those come back in the third... She really played with my nerves!
But I'm quiet angry about the ace over-ruled on break point at 5-5!!!! :( (the ball was out...)
Anyway, better luck next time I hope!

At least Tatiana got through the match. That's the important thing after her horrible injury in the Tokyo final.

me too, im begining to hate Ana Ivanovic. and not because she has beaten Tati 3 times in a row, she seems like a bitch.

I'm shocked that Tati even made a comeback. I saw the score was 3-5 in the third and just assumed she would lose in two sets. Glad she showed some spunk.

my exact thought too.

i was actually just happy that it went to a 3rd set. i thought the match was over at, i think, 5-3 in the 2nd set. too bad she couldn't keep up her momentum at the beginning of the 3rd.

what a fight back ; but that over rule ,even if the ball touched the side line (which it didn't) it would have been to long anyway;she was robbed!!!

She had at least 11 DFs on that match, and spraying UEs after UEs. And yes, I'm still bitter that she lost :bigcry:.

PS : She was looking FAB on the match. :hearts:

geez, that's a bad stat. i thought her serving had improved.

this sounds like how she played when her ankle was bothering her in the summer.
