La Defense.

http://www.hotellouxorparis.com/images/big/la_defense.jpg

looks like an Angel off of Neon Genesis Evangelion or something...La Défense (Paris) is a cluster of large buildings forming a new business district, the largest in Europe. Its centerpiece is La Grande Arche, a towering (almost 350 feet high) white marble structure visible for miles. It looks like a huge rectangle turned on its side. It was built in 1989 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the start of the French Revolution. Other pics:

I wonder what would happen to these bildings if a major earthquake comes up... would they survive? Are their chances of being left standign higher than of the normal cube like buildings...

all of them are prepared to face the nature of the country where they are , they have to be built that way.
