Come on, Mary we wanna see you winning Linz.

Mary willl probably not play in Filderstadt and Zurich.

In general, she has decided to play very few tournaments in this autumn.

Therefore the news that Mary will surely play in Linz is all the more amazing.

Here all the homepages of the most imporant events in this autumn:

Filderstadt: www.porsche-tennis.de
Zuerich: www.zuerichopen.net
Moscow: www.kremlincup.ru
Linz: www.generali-ladies.at
Philadelphia: www.advantachampionships.com

Mary has won Linz, so it's a good tournament for her.

What a big mistake to miss big tournaments such as Zurich, Moscow and so on...
Mary will be back on the 24th October. It is too long...
Mary has only played 3 tournaments since Roland Garros...Too few...
If Mary would play those tournaments, I am sure she can become n°1 in the world! She has no points to save until Indians Wells next year.

It's a mistake to miss Filderstadt and Zuerich because currently she would have been in a position to collect further points. This would be so important, because she will have to defend so much next year.

The only explanation for this decision of Mary could be that she is just exhausted after NY and the 3 very tough Fed Cup matches.

I hope she will also play Moscow and Philadelphia:

The Kremlincup-Hompage is very bad there is neither an entry list nor any other
information on the players.

I am quite sure Mary will play either Zurich or Moscow or both.. YEC was a goal for her at the start of the year, she cant risk it by not playing, specially since she has a very good shot at re entering the top 5.

On the kremlin cup page there is the list of players but it's in Russian. ;) But there's no Mary there...=(

I really hope she plays more, but it's up to her. I want her to do what she thinks is best, but I would really like her to play and play well so her ranking can get even higher.

Yes, that is a pitty. Furthermore she has to win Linz to have enough matches before the YEC begins. Maybe she'll also play Philadelphia. But this will take place just 1 week before the YEC.

It would have been better to play Filderstadt and Zuerich or Linz.

Then she had the long break before the YEC. Now she has the long break during these big events and will play again when the YEC is near. Is she not fit enough? Sorry, but her scheduling is quite strange this year. In spite of this, I hope she will have a good finish and (even more important!!!) she can keep her good shape for next year.

Pierce should play 2 events during the indoor season. She's had a LONG spring/summer, probably Clijsters is the only player who's played more matches than Pierce. Mary really needs this long break to rest her body, she is 30 years old :p. Pierce wants to clinch a YEC spot and she'll adjust her schedule if need be. PLus she'll be seeded to make the quarters or better in any field she enters so she'll get nice looking draws. ALLEZ MAHREE!

Will she play Quebec City this year? She better not

She should get into the YEC.
