But I thought Danilidou was supposed to be a threat to defeat Sharapova??? Guess not.

Saharapova took it to her.

The first three games were crucial and contentious. Severa deuces.
Once Maria won the battle in these protracted mental games, she picked her overall game while Daniilidou backdown and her body language gave it away.
Maybe her lingering injury limited her movement. Maybe if she was 100%, ti could have been competitive.

On the other hand, there was no sign of Maria's pectoral injury bothering her.
She was serving and well and swinging freely. Even the slice, that Daniilidou used effectively against other players and that has caused problem to Maria the past, did not bother her this time.

only two words needed:VERY IMPRESSIVE!!but sad for lenii-baby,because she can do much better.but yesterday,there was always to be only one winner,no discussing...
