Has a previous year Slam champion ever went the following season playing at least 15 tournaments, without winning a SINGLE TITLE? I didn't do extensive research, but I don't believe so. If this is true, Myskina & Sveta are in line to make history. I have faith that one of them can do it.

Winning a Slam one year, then going Title-less the next. *Sign of Greatness* :tape:

Pretty sure Majoli achieved the same feat in 1998.
And Capriati came awfully close in 2003, she definitely played 12-13 events before New Haven, and as we know, she won the title as Mauresmo and Davenport retired in SF and F.

Good point. J-Cap did come AWFULLY close in 2003. I remember that one. She was VER LUCKY.
