The match seemed like a thriller, Kirkland served for it 5/4 in the final set.3
Now let's go get Hantuchova! :armed:

Congrats to Salerni! But its shocking to think this is her first MD GS win, when you think how good a junior she was. Lets hope though this is the first of many.

Pitu had a 0/7 record in Grand Slams singles so far :o She's always managed to qualify but then she would get a seeded player in the first round and get thrashed. She won her first set in a GS two years ago, playing Cara Black at USO, too. The only time, besides this, she didn't draw a seeded player.
Hopefully this'll give her some confidence, she has nothing to loose vs Hantuchova.

Kirkland is another no-talent from the USTA. She's a grinder w/o any weapons and will never be a top player. I could beat Kirkland in a match. Plus, get that Babolat racquet of her hands. My friend, who is also my stringer and the no.1 singles player on our high school team, agrees that Babolats give people a false impression on how much power they have. One of the boys on our team uses a pure drive and he said that he has so much more power now (gee I wonder why?).
