Good win for Ana though it was a tougher match than I was expecting. All that matters is she is advancing though.

She's probably rusty after that injury. But, she won, and I'm sure she'll improve her game in the next rounds! :)
That was the 4th tiebreak she played and won in the last 3 matches. She's tough!

This is the second thread where you've come in and complained that a thread was started. If there are too many threads for your taste you just need to find a way to deal. This is the first round of the US OPEN and a lot of us tennis fans are excited. Each player deserves their own thread and if you feel it's a waste then don't take up space telling folks, what's the point anyway- talk about a waste of space@!

well we still want to hear all the results. If they all get posted in the one thread then you miss stuff and the US open website is too slow.

Touche?
Please then, create threads for the other 63 matches then so that none of us ever miss it :tape: not that it creates any clutter

There is play by play thread, there are player's forums and you want to see results of all 64 matches in GM? :retard: :silly:

well people who were there watching were not that impressed. Her serve was not good. It could be attributed to the injury afterall it was her upper body injury that forced her out just a week ago in Toronto. Let's also remember that this the first of her rare matches this summer. I just hope she doesn't play doubles anymore, at slams anyway where she needs focus and energy. Certainly she has to get in shape when she faces Kim.

Way to go Anchi!
Win is a win, it doesn't metter if you didn't play your best. Keep up that way.
