If you are a professional tennis player, which one do you prefer?

A. #1 even only for 1 week

B. Winning 1 GS title

personally GS title will be better for me :)

Just ask Momo which she would prefer, here is a player with heaps of talent but never seems to rise to the occassion. Either due to nerves or injuries or whatever, I'm sure she would swap her time at #1 for a GS

1 GS of course.

Aug 28th, 2005, 06:25 AM
Deffinetly a grand slam

Aug 28th, 2005, 07:33 AM
A GS. As long as it's the US Open or Wimby.

Aug 28th, 2005, 07:44 AM
I say GS for sure...being known as a "one slam wonder" is a lot better then being #1 for just a week :tape:

I was gonna go with a GS title, because that is so special, but if I could be the first dutch number 1 player I would take that, that is so much better than any GS in the world

Aug 28th, 2005, 10:43 AM
GS definitely!!

how about 52 weeks at no.1 (consecutive) or 1 GS title??

Aug 28th, 2005, 11:01 AM
one Grand Slam

Aug 28th, 2005, 11:24 AM
definitely a grand slam

If you are a professional tennis player, which one do you prefer?

I think the question should be if you were a professional tennis player. Then I'd say - probably 1 GS title even though I think you have to be a better player to get to number #1 for a week than win 1 GS and never get to number #1. If you got both I'm sure you'd value your 1 GS title more.

If you are a professional tennis player you shouldn't even be thinking about it. You are surely not satisfied with ending up with just the one of either. You are surely looking to the future for both more GS titles and more weeks at #1

I would prefer winning a grand slam title over being the #1 player for one YEAR ,let alone one week. :smoke:

Aug 28th, 2005, 01:43 PM
1 GS tittle is better than a year of nº1. What's the matter of being nº1 if you can't win one of the most important tittles in the period when you are supposed to be the dominated force

Aug 28th, 2005, 02:21 PM
Easily Grand Slam :worship:

Aug 28th, 2005, 02:55 PM
Winning 1 GS title

Aug 28th, 2005, 02:56 PM
Winning RG - for sure ;)

Aug 28th, 2005, 02:58 PM
one GS

Aug 28th, 2005, 03:03 PM
Slam. For sure.

Aug 28th, 2005, 03:55 PM
1 GS :) One week #1 is weird

Aug 28th, 2005, 03:57 PM
A GS for sure

Aug 28th, 2005, 04:04 PM
if I were a tennis pro my dream will be to win a GS and as a french it will be Roland Garros.

Aug 28th, 2005, 04:49 PM
1 slam without a doubt.

Aug 28th, 2005, 04:51 PM
no hesitation, one grand slam. Wimbledon, if you ask.

Aug 28th, 2005, 04:54 PM

Everyone says GS, but I'd take the #1 spot (this is assuming that there will be no future opportunities to obtain either one during my career). I know a GS is perceived as the ultimate prize in tennis, but being able to tell your grandkids you were #1, the best player in the world at one time, seems more prestigious than saying you were #2 and also won a big tournament.

GS for sure
