Watched them all! I really didn't remember Venus/Serena had so many great points. Graf/Seles was pretty good too, especially knowing everything surrouding it!

Wow, how good Venus and Serena used to be in 2002, ah the memories. I was most impressed with the Tracy/Chris clip. They banged the ball even with wooden racquets. A very un-Chrissy like ending to that match too. Tracy, Lindsay, and Maria all have very similar ground games and strokes. Boy Robert Lansdorp is a genious when it comes to ground stokes. They are all tredmendously sound stokes with NO hiches!

To add, that Seles Graf match looked great too. That was an ace on set point in the first for Seles; WHAT A HORRIBLE CALL!!! That match looked very entertaining. I'm saving these clips to my computer!! Great job on the website USTA!!

seles' acts of it-like were far more excess than the extent of "it looked in",that was apparent.

Watching the Sisters hit the ball like that, it's obvious that the level of women's tennis has declined lately.

Bad match selection. :(

That serve was close. It was by no means a "terrible call".

;) Austin vs Evert was a great clip. Those winners down the line were so sweet. It's just so strange nowadays to watch how players back then could almost stand still during a point to hit their shot.
Not possible today

What do you people watch these clips with? Media Player, Real Player, ...? Coz these clips don't seem to work for me (I'm using Windows Media Player though, it SHOULD be working)... Thanks for any advice! :yeah:

It was close, yes, but certainly looked much more in than out, IMO.

The serve sliced in, I saw no seperation on the clip. The linesman made a call in his head before the ball bounced not realizing it would curve in. It was on the inside of the line.

In fact, you NEEDED to have your feet on the ground ("stand still") and have a proper follow through to hit an effective shot with a wooden racquet. :smoke:

Bad match selection. :(

That serve was close. It was by no means a "terrible call".

It was sentimental call (match) and it didn't end the way people (I am not talking about myself then I would lie) wanted it to be! In other matches it would not have been a big deal!

I am 100% convinced about that!

Yeah and back then Serena's BH was damn good too. That BH DTL winner that Venus hit was just sick.

Also, anyone notice those nice one-handed slice backhands by Serena. No one ever gives her credit for using that shot.
