I like a lot of the other cooking shows. I make a lot of the recipes and they turn out pretty good as well. I like Giada de Laurentiis and the Contessa the best.

Yeah, the original Iron Chef dubbed into English is the best! One of the judges is always some cheesy Japanese actress, who does nothing but giggle and make stupid comments...the dubbing of that into English always cracks me up.

I think you just like Giada de Laurentis because her dad and grandfather are movie producers :p

That does have something to do with it. I wanted to be in Hannibal (grandfather co-produced) as Clarice Starling, but I was too old. So I said I'd play Anthony Hopkins' mother in some flashbacks, you know, young Hannibal goes on the road with his chanteuse mother and all pre-becoming a cannibal. They didn't buy it. Maybe next time.
For being a hot piece of rich ass, her husband is sort of dorky, he's on the show sometimes.

her husband is somewhat doable if you have a few glasses of wine. the woman is so skinny. I don't think she eats anything she cooks. She is part of the Hollywood scene though so you can't rule out an eating disorder.

and speaking of rich ass, I had no idea Ina worked in the Carter Whitehouse working on nuclear weapon policy. Who'd have thunk from looking at her?

They say that some anorexics are obsessed with food and cooking--for others. That could be her.
I figured maybe she was a cocaine addict and just couldn't put any weight on. When someone is skinny in Hollywood, it's either an eating disorder or cocaine.

Yes, I was most surprised about that. I think she worked for Ford, also, though she's defintely what Car Key Boi would call a "lefty-tard."
Her husband is the president of Yale Business School or something. Ina has the bucks, that much is certain!
I like Ina's friends, those men she invites over are really cute. I really watch her show more for the men friends she has on. I'd never cook her stuff, it's too much and more for entertaining.

all the men she has on her show are gay. I don't think they'd be into you Hel, except as a Streisand figure or something

It's amazing what Helen can do when she's on a mission. Hell, with a steely determination, I battled out of the slums of Brooklyn to become an Academy Award winning actress and pulled no punches. I can get a gay guy to rustle something up for me.

I'm on the fence with the really good looking one she has over all the time, the one who bought her the charcoil hood and stuff. He's always alone and doesn't float or anything like her other guy-friends. I can't decide if he's gay or straight. Or am I losing my touch?

I have not seen the guy you are talking about but I'm pretty sure the flower guy, her table decorator, the one who hangs around sometimes who is named Steve, and almost all of the other ones I've seen without their wives are gay.

The flower guy is the only one I wouldn't do. Steve is my favorite one.
The one in question, sort of dark hair, a little gray, drives an old Grand Cherokee Wagon. She once cooked a whole dinner for him to pass off as his own to his friends, a few of whom were hottie women. He wears a wedding ring, but never any mention of a wife or anything. He dresses sort of faggy, but I'm not sure if that's a Long Island thing. He has a killer body.

oh I don't know. He's either single and rich or gay with all the women hanging around him.

Do you think that Ina has poolside orgies when Jeffery is gone like Martha?

Is it just me or does Sandra Lee never wear a bra?

Her recipes are ghastly, I love to watch to laught.

I think Ina likes to watch, that's my take. She's like the matchmaker, and she likes to watch the results of her yenta/butting in. Yes, there are orgies I believe, but it's all men and she doesn't join in. They always say that straight women love gay porn, well Ina's got the real thing live in her backyard when Jeffrey is away.

Don't get me started on Sandra Lee. Have you noticed she always matches her window treatments and background set decorations? It's hideous. She's like a cameleon. And what's with her and the booze? It's always "cocktail time" on that show. She was throwing a slumber party for her kid niece a couple of weeks ago and she was mixing the booze.

And her idea of semi homemade is a joke. Her idea of mac and cheese is breaking out the blue box and cooking it at home. I guess in that sense it's "homemade" but give me a break!

this new guy they have is doable if he shuts his mouth

I haven't seen him, I'll have to tune in. Paula Deen's sons are totally hot and doable.

My favorite Sandra Lee "recipe" was when she bought a frozen pie and her instructions were to heat it up and grate some cinnamon over it. I mean, that was the whole recipe!

good god. I need to replace that woman. I mean I can totally go to dunkin doughnuts, buy a dozen, and sprinkle them with powdered sugar.

Paula's kids are hot, but I'm not sure if I want to be hanging around mama's boys long term.

They strike me as really stupid, to the point of dangerously stupid. I fear Paula will be supporting them forever. I ate at Paula's restaurant last year. It was good.

In case you ahven't noticed, Sally is a little obsessed with the food network :tape:

I recently found out how Rachel Ray went from nothing in a bad time slot to the Queen of the Food Network. Obviously she's been sleeping around to move up on the ladder. Look:

I find her to be the most unsexy thing walking the planet. She seems very crudish and too masculine. I'm wondering if she does speedballs before the show, she's moving so fast and talking so fast, I feel like I'm watching Liza Minellu doing a 70s Broadway show.

She's kind of cute in the perky cheerleader kind of way till she opens that huge mouth. Just shut up woman!

Is it wrong of me to be somewhat attracted to Mario Batali? :tape:

Sakai wins 95% of the time as does Michiba. Chen always wins unless it's against a woman where he has like a 80% losing rate. Kobe wins 50-50. Morimoto wins about 75% of the time.

I had to look him up, but I have seen him a lot before. I just did not recognize the name. He does nothing for Helen, but not only does he appear to be an amazing chef, I bet he's good in bed. Helen can tell. You have Mario Batali, hon, and I have Barney Frank. Everyone has their own little strange crushes.

I don't picture her as the pin-up type..she'd never stop yapping..she would talk a guy to death before he could get her in flagrante delicto!

Fun to watch them guess what the chef is going to make as well.
