Poor showing from SHinobu, she had Myskina's number....seemed to lose her rhythm towards the end of the second set...lots of chances wasted...

OMFG. Asagoe played that match tactically like a loser retard fuckwit dickhead bitch whorebag.

Makes me wonder about the WTA sometimes, why these women don't get some brain cells and hit the ball into court, opponent injured or not :retard:

Trully the best fighter of the WTA. That's why I'm in love with her :hearts:
To me this win means a lot :D

Hope the injury is not that serious or they might be another RET or WITHDRAW in the draw :bigcry:

Nastya shows tremendous heart winning it after injuring her ankle. I hope it is nothing serious. And she did it in straight sets too. Still a heart-wrenching match though.

Ironically Myskina played much better when she got injured. She was more reserved and waited for the right opportunities. Before her injury, she was just going for too much and making nonstop errors. She was very stable in the last couple of games. Asagoe on the other hand was erratic throughout the match but even more so when Myskina got injured. I think she focused too much on Myskina's injury and what she could do to take advantage. She definitely choked but I give credit to Myskina for hanging on.

This is why some players are destined to be losers. Only second class players lose a match 7-5 after serving for the set 5-4.

I did watch some of it...Shinbu was erratic but what you said was unneccessary...she was off her game...that happens and when the opponent has a little injury that's interrupting play it's distracting...it was a tough situation for her...

Fascinating. Bit of a missfess with some brilliant shots and long rallies thrown in. Nastya started playing slightly slower and with fewer errors in the second then slipped and gave the lead back. Nastya had a bit of a cry and a lot of taping then came out more deliberate and less frantic - took a bit more time and started playing chess with Shinobu by hitting the ball where she couldn't get to it rather than just hitting it.

The interesting thought from Eurosport was that Nastya plays better when she plays slightly slower and that having something else to think about stops her worrying about her last error. Sorta makes sense and it mightbe that crying over the ankle released the tension. They thought lessons could be learnt .

Gamewise the error count was horrible but when it wasn't Nastya looks very good. the eurosport team thought the errors were awful but they also used the word brilliant an awful lot too.

Indeed.

I don't know what Asagoe's all about. She made lil Hantchy cry at Wimbers 2004. She fights and hits big but she isn't a big bad threat if you ask me.
