Sounds like she is " Praising " her opponet to me.

Serena:
The fifth-seeded American, who hasn't played since Wimbledon because of an injured left ankle, struggled with her mobility on the court, often failing to get to balls well within her reach.

"I was playing so bad and she was playing so good, she was moving very well, actually,'' Williams said. "I've played her before and she plays well when she's down.

Serena shouldn't feel the need to be giving her any praise. She doesn't deserve it when you consider that a Serena with a damaged knee who can hardly move around the court still manages to beat her opponent

Serena & Venus always give praise to their opponents when they play well. No doubt about that!
