Who's with me about being nervous and excited at the same time for Serena's first match tomorrow? Who will win? What will the score be?

  :bounce:

I know. Let's go Serena. Honestly though, it's scary to know that she lost to Jill Craybas in her last match.

Serena is probably is better shape now, and has worked on her serve hopefully. I see Serena being in better shape and hopefully a better mind-set on just being on the court and competing.

Serena should win... from the last pic I saw of her she looked to be in better shape. If that pic is accurate it will be an easy win :).

shouldnt matter. If Serena loses to Stephanie, there'd be very bigger problems than her fittness

Serena should win 6-1 6-0. She really should.

But she is bound to throw in some errors, so lets say 6-2 6-1.

I'm thinking few people watched Cohen-Aloro. She plays some loose games, but she can whack that ball very well. She decks it with top spin, has the movement of a person in a wheel chair, but can create nice angles

If the good Serena visits 6-2 6-3

If the bad Serena visits 6-3 0-6 6-1

Even though Serena isn't in form yet it is hard to imagine her losing to Cohen-Aloro.

Cohen-Aloro was good in round 1 but her opponent was a very low rated player playing average tennis.
Serena will win easily 6-3 6-1

 I don't think she'd be blanked out even on a bad day. I don't know how Cohen-Aloro plays, but I don't think, even with Serena struggling, she would win a set off of Serena..

Cohen-Aloro wasn't very impressive in round 1, you are right... one-sided match this.

She wouldn't play unless she felt she was fit enough to win, so yes she will.

I definitely think Cohen Aloro will destroy Serena in two easy sets 6/4 6/2  or 6/2 6/3
Cohen Aloro plays so well she reached a semi final in a 25k last month :tape:

I think the match will be shaky, but I do believe Serena will win it in straights.

Expect a shaky match for this one, just because she hasn't played a tournament since losing in the third round at Wimbledon. Roger Federer played last night against James Blake for HIS first match since Wimbledon and even the Federer God was quite rusty.

Also, why isn't ESPN broadcasting the match or any of the matches? They showed all of the matches (big matches) from round 1 on up to the finals for the men. Why not show the womens? Will they be showing ANY of the event?
