View Full Version : Who will make the semi's? (Quarter 2)

Jun 25th, 2005, 09:29 PM
Amelie Mauresmo

Elena Likhovteva

Elena Dementieva

Anastasia Myskina

Myskina. The farther she gets in a draw, the harder it is to beat her.

No one said Elena L? She's already made one, it would be stupid to count her out.

Jun 25th, 2005, 10:29 PM
Momo ;)

Jun 25th, 2005, 10:42 PM
Lena D. - She will finally beat Myskina after some time and Mauresmo will beat Likhovtseva. Then Mauresmo will choke again in a GS QF against Dementieva. Therefore, Dementieva will reach her 3rd semi at a GS. ;)

Dementieva. it's time.

Jun 25th, 2005, 10:47 PM
Based off of form right now Mauresmo should certainly make it to the semis. However I expect her to falter in one of the next two rounds. I think Myskina will shock us all and somehow make the semis after a terrible season so far.

Kim Clijsters, I hope but why not Nastya or Dementieva

If Amelie doesn't get to the Semis, she should just hang up her racket and never play the Slams again.

Jun 26th, 2005, 12:29 AM
no ones talking about her so shell be relaxed i go for amelie

Jun 26th, 2005, 12:55 AM
LenaD ^_^

Jun 26th, 2005, 11:18 AM
Myskina win :) :) :)

Jun 26th, 2005, 11:47 AM
Myskina :)

Jun 26th, 2005, 11:57 AM
Amelie, she's so relaxed no one has mentioned her as a contender, she's in fantastic form and i really think she can go all the way this year :)

Jun 26th, 2005, 12:42 PM
Amélie or Elena D. If not, that's the second bad semi of the year.

Jun 26th, 2005, 02:30 PM
Nastya will beat Elena D. Amelie will beat Elena L. In the quarters I expect the pressure to be solely on Mauresmo, and Nastya will take advantage. Nastya is under no pressure and has already exceeded what both her fans and detractors and I suspect Myskina herself would have expected.

Myskina. The farther she gets in a draw, the harder it is to beat her.

I totally agree with that!! She was lacking confidence and it seems like she is getting it back :) Watch out for her :boxing:

Elena Dementieva

Jun 26th, 2005, 04:46 PM
Can't vote against Elena. She needs to neat Nastya to give her the confidence to do this.

Go Elena! :)

it is Momo's time to shine :D

allez Améééééééééééééééééééé!! :bounce:

Jun 26th, 2005, 06:33 PM
I hope Amelie can get rid of her GS demons and get to the semis again and maybe final

Jun 26th, 2005, 06:43 PM
Momo or Nastya...I don´t really see Nastya beating Momo on the fastest of all fastest surfaces. Momo basically cruised through her matches so far, but we all know how much Momo likes to play under pressure and the grass gets slower during the second week.

The weird thing is, just like someone already said, the Russian gets better in the later rounds and it´s Nastya...the most impossible und most unexpected thing always happens to her. She so-called "accidently" won the French Open as a player known hating clay and going with the pattern she will make a huge impact in Wimby as a player known to hate grass;)

I don´t know...my mind says Momo, but of course I´d loooove to see Nastya kicking ass here;)

Amelie is the best grass court player left in this section.

Lena D. and Myskina suck on grass despite a good run this year.

Hey! Nastya reached Birmingham and Eastbourne finals in a row a few years ago  ;)

Jun 26th, 2005, 08:56 PM
Amelie Mauresmo :)

Jun 26th, 2005, 08:58 PM
Lena D

Jun 27th, 2005, 02:09 AM
Nastya win :) :) :)

Jun 27th, 2005, 02:11 AM
Anastasia can 'tough 3 sets' her way through the whole tourny :D

Jun 27th, 2005, 04:26 AM
Nastya doesn't "suck" on grass, I wish people would think for themselves instead of listening to what other idiots on the board have said in the past. :fiery: She hits flat and early and made grass court finals a few years ago.

Anyway, Myskina is the best tennis player of the aforementioned 4... but her slump is well documented. I have no clue how she'll play, but certainly, the winner of Myskina/Dementieva will take out Amelie/Lena L.

Belgium = Best

I think Elena Dementieva ;)

Jun 27th, 2005, 09:00 AM
Amélie has the best chances imo. :)

Jun 27th, 2005, 09:37 AM
I think and hope Amelie
