Oops she lost already... :p (better laugh than cry no?)
Why her game so uneffective on grass? I know the balls are faster and Shaughnessy has a perfect serve for grass but its not like her baseline game is power game and she can be really inconsistent at times. Anna could have drive her crazy returning all her shots... :(
Its like Anna don't want to run down balls on grass and she come with attitude she will lose already... :o

Anna is not a baseliner - she's a clay court specialist.
she hits loopy balls with tons of spin on them, but doesn't have much of a slice - the exact opposite of what you're looking on grass.
the slice allows you to go up the net.
the grass doesn't let the ball bounce too high and most players find it more comfortable to hit the ball from lower than what clay courts have alot - shoulder-high shots.
also - anna is REALLY quick but it's useless when the surface doesn't take nothing from the speed, so she can't manipulate the shots like on clay.
also - she doesn't have a nice passing shot :o though her lob is very good IMO.
so all in all - she doesn't like net-play, doesn't like slicing and doesn't like playing flat.
is it now better understood?

Thanks.. what do you mean the surface doesn't take anything from the speed? Hardcourts doesn't take anything too then?
Two thing I disagree with:
Anna does have a nice passing shots!
Anna does slice (I recall seeing her slice number of times  )
So why won't she hit it more flat? I think she can really hit her backhand hard when she flattens it out..
