Njeno priznanje dodatno me je iznerviralo, jer sam joj to davno govorio. Organizatori Vimbldona nisu uzeli u obzir njene ranije uspehe i zasluge, što obično rade.

It's sad that there's always reference to Balkan war
Every war is a sad thing, but I always thought that after II World War, Europe will be free, and our continent will be ruled by non conflict people.Unfortunately I was (and am) wrong
Serbia-Croatia-Bosnia pls shake your hands to end the conflict.

I have heard that Kurir is one of the worst tabloids there. I would be not surprised if they spiced few quotes up in order to make them more "attractive".

This one is a bit too heavy for foreign consumption to translate. I agree with a lot of his points though.

Navratilova getting a WC IS insane.
There are corrupt people and lobby groups within the WTA. These and her management company are the worst culprits for her losing 3 years of top tennis and a lot of money.
The political stuff, he should use more diplomatic language. Definitely !

In her last proper interview with a proper sports news agency (Sportskacentrala.com) she explicitly said she would always represent SCG. Looks like the Australians expect her to instantly start playing for them if she goes and trains there.

Most definitely. "Kurir" is the worst piece of junk we ever had the misfortune to know as newspapers. They're very much into sensationalistic crap and this sure looks like it.
However, Damir has been saying things like this for years, so this article is not much of a surprise. Although it is more idiotic than most of the previous.

How can he compare Mary Pierce getting a WC for Roland Garros with Jelena not getting one for Wimbledon? Mary is French citizen, and she was the champion and the finalist there. Jelena didn't have quite the same results at Wimby.

Only a suggestion..but maybe it would be better not to post such articles as this?

i thought the same, but since i'm studying jurnalism i have a lot of friends working in newspapers. One of my best friends actually works in Kurir, and he says everything they write, they write as they have on tape, or on paper every single word, nothing made up. He is a great person and friend and there's no reason why i shouldn't believe him

and BTW i quit POLITIKA culture section, cause they had many more things made up-in culture section, pushing certain idiotic authors, reviews of book noone ever heard of, and the culmination was when the editor signed himself on mine half-page text on three ocassions, and i worked like a week like an idiot reading book of 500 pages to make a review!!!!!!!! And not to mention that Kurir sells 200.000 more then any other newspapers. "Danas" sells about 8.000-10.000 compared to Kurir's 300.000!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, that makes it even more sad. The things they publish are disastrous and to think someone actually really says and means all that, well it's :scared:

I believe you, it does happen a lot, some of my friends experienced the same. Until you've made a "name" for yourself in journalism you can count on those things happening, however horrible that may be...

About those numbers... it means little. I mean, just look at the number of people who watch "Grand Show" and buy "Svet" and "Scandal".

You take out of it what you want. What I see here is an unedited interview with D Dokic. Have not seen even one person on these forums criticising the many lies written in the english press regarding all Serbian-Montenegrin players not just Jelena.

Well it's very easy to push around emotional person with properly prepared and directed questions in order to bend whole picture enough. That's what tabloids are doing all around the world not only in english speaking countries. Picking up most scandalous words and magnifying them out of proportion. :(

But yeah, in case of Damir you don't have to be clever journalist at all.

Damir Dokic for Jelena Dokic LiVE:

After a Serbian newspaper "Kurir" released the information about Dokic family plans to return to Australia and about new contacts between Jelena and her father, we have contacted mister Damir Dokic in order to get precise information considering the Serbian and Australian newspaper writing in the past two weeks.

Damir, after a certain period of time you have again contacts with Jelena. Who was the initiator - You or Jelena?

- Jelena called me. I must accept I was very surprised when I heard her voice.

What was the reason for Jelena's call?

- She called me to ask whether to take part in this year's Wimbledon, for which she got a Wild Card for qualifications only, what she did not like at all. I did not know what to tell her, and now you are telling me that she withdrawn and that was her decision. Considering Wimbledon rules, everyone that reached once a semifinal and had good results has a guaranteed life-time invitation for the main draw. Unfortunately, that was not the case with Jelena. Both Jelena and me were aware that that was the plot of the Octagon and WTA.

For the first time in her tennis career Jelena will not take part in the world greatest tournament. Did she tell which would be the next tournament she would play at?

- No, she really did not say, I only know that after Wimbledon she will certainly play on WTA tour. The reason for her bad results is not her game, but huge psychological problems she is faced with.

From everything you said it seems that you still have a barrier in communication with Jelena, or I am wrong? Did she decide to comeback home or?

- I don't think she will comeback. During a talk I told her that she should immediately take a taxi and that I would wait for her on the border. She got angry, called mum and told her that I had humiliated her.

Is she still with Bikic?

- I think so.

About your plans for comeback to Australia?

- I still regret leaving Australia. I should left Jelena to play for Australia and their FED cup national team. Since we left Australia everything went wrong. I overreacted on unfair draw and without thinking I made decision. At the moment I am not thinking to go back since Jelena and me are still not in good relationship, so there is no reason to think about return.

Are you planning to be a guest on Chanel 7 Australian TV, which offered to make a documentary about the rise and fall of Dokic family?

- No, I won't. If I accept, I will have to stay in Australia for one month, since that show goes two times per week for three weeks. That is a long period of time, and my business started well, so I can not leave it. They said they are going to pay for my stay there as well as to send a menager to handle all the formalities about trip to Australia, but I think I will not accept.

Based on the last Damir's interview there had been a great probability that Dokic's nightmare would finish, but we are the witnesses that things are not going in that way. The only thing left is to wait on the next step of Jelena and Damir, and to expext Jelena's comeback.
