Justine is playing here..and she's second seed :D

let's hope she can win this thing :D
she has an easy draw:
first round bye
second round: a qualifier
third round: probably Schiavone or Marrero
quarterfinals: Farina Elia or Hantuchova
semi: probably Jelena Dokic
final: Venus ;)

GO JUSTINE!!!!!!!!!!!!

You call this easy????

I call this difficult, Schiavone on clay is terrible to play, Daniela is also not easy but should be more easy since it's on clay, Dokic who is playing well and has good results on clay! Not easy IMO

Apr 8th, 2002, 10:23 AM
Dokic is semi-final..you can't expect an easy opponent then.

The others are good players, but Justine should be able to win those matches :)

I fear Schiavone! If she tumbles somewhere along the way it wll be there!

Apr 8th, 2002, 11:49 AM
Justine beat Schiavone last year on clay 6-2 6-4 and she will do it again! :D

Apr 8th, 2002, 12:16 PM
was that in Estoril??? I should check...

Schiavone on clay is hard. If Justine makes too many errors, she'll lose this one (for sure ;))

Apr 8th, 2002, 02:13 PM
she won last year in Estoril Open with 6-2 6-4. She'll crush her again :)

It's a tough draw, Justine will have to play well here.

Apr 8th, 2002, 06:11 PM
Go Justine!!!

So tomorrow (?) against Fernandez, who had 3 good wins here (in qualifying and first round). Go Justine!!!

Apr 10th, 2002, 02:04 AM
I just found out the Justine and Meghann lost their doubles match! But Hantuchova lost her 2nd round match so she is out of the tourni...this gives Justine an easier time, but she will still have to fight!!! Go Justine! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Apr 11th, 2002, 07:05 PM
Go Juju!!!
Good luck against Garbin!!!!!:bounce: :bounce:
(when it stops raining:fiery: )

Apr 11th, 2002, 09:23 PM
Good luck Justine, I hope you will stiil play today! and win!

Apr 13th, 2002, 11:23 AM
Justine beat Tax Garbin 6-3 6-3 :D

She now faces the "incredibly boring, awful-looking, annoying, old" Silvia Farina Elia (see: Play Tennis magazine  )

Good luck Juju ;)

I saw farina play at antwerp, why is everybody saying that she's annoying? She has a great technical game, but she seems to miss some power, that's all. And further she just like all the other players!

Hope Justine can set up a semifinal clash with Dokic or Dementieva!

GO JUSTINE :bounce:

Gooooooooooooo Justine!!!!

Apr 13th, 2002, 01:17 PM
(waarom in 't Nederlands, arne? :p)

I was thinking the exact same thing this morning, when I saw that Justine faces Silvia in the QF! Those journalists of PlayTennis aren't that good... And have you ever counted the grammar & spelling mistakes??

Did they mention that Farina is currently #10 in the race to chase? She's a very consistent player, a real clay specialist! BTW: I think that she has already passed Kim by reaching the QF here at Amelia Island! Probably #9 in the race next week

Apr 13th, 2002, 10:50 PM
Indeed, Farina is one place higher as Kim in the chase ranks :(

JUSTINE IN THE FINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly what I hoped for! A good claycourt season to make up for the points she will (probably) lose during RG and Wimbledon!
