Will have another easy FO draw with herself, Venus and Lindsay being on one side of the draw and Serena, Justine, Maria and most of the other Russians being on the other side?

I think the draw won't be predictable this year.

I guess we'll know soon enough.

I'm tellin y'all that the R16 will look like this:

Ivanovic (having defeated Davenport) vs. Clijsters
Schnyder vs. Kuznetsova
Henin-Hardenne vs. Myskina
Williams vs. Williams
Mauresmo vs. Golovin (having beaten Jankovic)
Dementieva vs. Bovina
Petrova vs. Vaidisova (having beaten Zvonareva)
Sharapova vs. Likhovtseva

Then
Clijsters vs. Schnyder
Henin-Hardenne vs. S. Williams
Golovin vs. Dementieva
Vaidisova vs. Sharapova

Then
Clijsters vs. Henin-Hardenne
Golovin vs. Sharapova

Then
Henin-Hardenne def. Sharapova

 @ Masha's reaching the final w/o beating a top 15 player:lol: .

Again I say it's not possible for Serena to face Venus in the R of 16.

I think a Venus/Davenport QF or R16 is a safe bet
Serena & Venus on same side, probably:(

& a Maria/Amelie SF

I really just want to see Henin/Mauresmo @ some point in the tournament though...

Problem with detecting bias is that one man's bias one way is another mans opposite bias. Momo would love Maria in her half and would fancy her chances against Russians in general - she would hate Kim or Justine or Serena being there.

Well, the three most threatening people to Amelie; Justine, Serena and Maria will be on the opposite side of her, I believe.

I don't want to say the R word, but I can't stop feeling that the Tournament officials want Amelie to win so badly that they'll do their possible best to make her path to the finals smooth.

I'll apologize tomorrow if I'm wrong.

I didn't mention Kim because I don't think she's well enough to play. I don't think she'd be a factor if she plays, given her recent injury.

Why?

Why?

Because I think Lindsay will undoubtedly lose early, and the draw will open up considerable. I want her to have like Lindsay and Myskina as the other top seeds in her draw. :o

Nice draw for Amelie, isn't it? Can you say Rigged?

Even though you were completely wrong in your prediction at the top of the thread? Amelie has the last woman to beat her as a QF opponent, and Sveta/Justine/Maria in the SF. It's a far tougher draw than, say, Venus's.

Amelie's draw is okay but is far from easy, Ana in the 3rd round, Petova who she lost to recently in straight sets.

if they were going to Rig the draw it would be

3rd Bartoli
round of 16 Dechy
QF Myskina
SF Lindsay ;)

Can you say Rigged?

Yes. I can say the moon is made of roquefort as well, but that doesn't make it so :)

I think if she had a session with Derren Brown, and he convinced her she was in Rome. Itís possible she could win the tournament.

Except EVERYONE you said would be on the opposite side...isn't. She'll have to face Sveta/Maria/Justine in the Semis, and probably Nadia in the Quarters. I'd take Venus' or Dementieva's draw any day.

Mauresmo's draw is not that easy. If Momo-choko shows up in the fourth round against Jankovic/Schiavone, it's bye-bye.

Of course it's rigged. It's a piece of cake walk to the cup! :p

Guys, hello, they could give Amelie a bye into the final and she'd figure out a way not to get there! It's not in the past a tough opponent for her at this tournament that stops her.
Her only chance here, to me, have a crappy clay season, come in seeded like 10, get totally ignored as "washed up" and have a nightmare draw. Then she can play with no cares and no expectations.
