They are trying to scam people (they name the big players, so it will bring in people to buy the tickets). They hold off the other names (probably because they are weak). Its their way of selling more tickets.

Recent performances at Antwerp, where she reached the semis, and Dubai, where she reached the quarters, have shown she is in fine form and more than capable of smashing her way through to the Championship finals in an exciting build up to this year’s Wimbledon.

Molik, who has been sidelined for seven weeks with an inner ear infection, will make her comeback at the DFS Classic commencing in Birmingham next Monday.

The world No.8 has also entered the WTA event in Eastbourne from June 13 after spending two weeks honing her grasscourt game in Melbourne with coach David Taylor."

You can scratch Justine from the entry list...

FRENCH Open champion Justine Henin-Hardenne will skip the Wimbledon warm-up tournament in Eastbourne to get some rest before the grasscourt grand slam begins on June 20.

"I'm going to pull out from Eastbourne," the 23-year-old Belgian said after thrashing France's Mary Pierce 6-1 6-1 to win the Roland Garros title for the second time.

"I have to take this rest because my body is a little bit tired, it's been a lot of matches in the last few weeks.

"I won't do the same mistakes as in the past," she added, referring to the energy-sapping viral illness that plagued her during the 2004 season.

We already knew she'd withdraw, but here it is on the site of Eastbourne:

Henin-Hardenne Withdraws With Injury

The Hastings Direct International Championships’ organisers can confirm today that Justine Henin-Hardenne has withdrawn from the Championships due to a right hamstring strain.

Justine Henin-Hardenne said: “I am withdrawing from Eastbourne and hope to be ready for Wimbledon. I have at least 10 days off for my injury, and I have to take this rest because my body is a little bit tired. It’s been a lot of matches in the last few weeks. I’m very sad about this decision, but I have to take it if I want to be ready for Wimbledon.”

Joint Championships Director Gavin Fletcher said: “We are obviously all incredibly disappointed that Justine will not be in Eastbourne next week for the Hastings Direct International Championships. However, we understand and respect her reasons and hope she will be fit for Wimbledon. In the meantime we are looking forward to an exceptionally strong draw which still contains players such as Kim Clijsters, Amelie Mauresmo and Svetlana Kuznetsova. It is going to be a week of world class tennis.”

NO CONCHITA

Well, these are the main draw entries. With her current ranking, Conchita can only get in with a WC or through qualifying. I don't think this list has the WC entries?

I think that there aren´t any wild card entry in that list.

the player list is not completed at all, it´s true .

is it true that on finals day we're getting a legends exhibition match as well as the 2 finals? if so, i presume this is on centre?

I heard a rumor, but haven't heard about it for quite a long time.

Can someone tell me if they are playing a legends exhibition on the finals day? I heard that they were, but this was a long time ago + I haven't heard anything since.

Hastings Direct International Championship’s organisers are delighted to announce that former world number one, Martina Hingis, will head this year’s Legends Match to be held at Devonshire Park on Friday 17 June.

The 24 year old, who became the youngest ever World Number One, at the tender age of 16, will be joined on court by former Wimbledon champion Jana Novotna, former British number one and GMTV star Andrew Castle and John McEnroe’s legendary doubles partner, Peter Fleming for a star studded match up that is not to be missed.

The exhibition match will be staged on one of the championship’s outside courts after 4pm. Tennis fans will be able to watch the Legends for the cost of a ground pass - just £5 per person (to book tickets please call 01323 412000).
I'm sure I heard something about on the saturday.....

Btw, that article lies; a ground pass is £5.50
