Hmm, not a bad draw. But for some reason, I think Peng might give her a tough match if they meet in the 2nd round. I think she has to be focused since her opponent has already played a match in the tournament.

Yeah I definately think Peng is dangerous. She's playing pretty well and also has an extra match. Tati just has to come out playing well from the begining imo. I really hope she can play well here:)

im not sure why anyone hasn't posted that Tati is reported to be working with Brad Gilbert now. i think its only for the French and Wimbledon though. sorry the article is in French and i have forgotten most of my 2 years of French from high school.

i think its a good move. any coach is better than no coach. and even though i hate Gilbert i think he will be good with Tati. they have worked together in the past, hopfully the partnership will work out. im guessing this is perhaps a trial, and if it works well maybe it will become full time. but we will have to wait and see.

ive always thought gilbert would be a good coach for tati, but now i dont know. what if she improves at first but then levels off like roddick. maybe the tactics he teaches are good, but then it's hard for a player to change from them and people figure out how to beat them. i dont know what i just said. probably doesnt make any sense. :confused:

I hope that they don't change too much in their relationship since it was working well. Tati seemed to talk with Brad a lot now and in the past. Maybe Brad can show up for a practice or two and do some scouting. Since Brad has been helpful in the past I'm just hoping it won't lead to any "bad" results at the FO and Wimbledon.

I think working with Gilbert will be postive, if things go well at the Fench Open and Wimbledon, perhaps it will become more longterm.

This match could possibly be Tati's toughest of the tournament. If she wins this match she should at least get to the semi-finals.

well this sucks. i hope Tati can get out of the first round at the French. i don't want Tati playing anyone around her age for a few rounds. but i have a bad feeling Tati is gonna draw Ana Ivanovic first round, i dont think Ivanovic is seeded.

Damn it. I was afraid this was gonna happen:( I know she's had two tough first rounds, but I think this one was winnable. Hope this doesn't damage her confidence. Shoot- I really thought she could pull this one out:(

Well, another long three set loss. Does she train on red clay in Paris because her results on it have been bad since last year?! This also sucks since many of the other seeds had already lost.

I'm hoping for the best but not sure what to expect at the FO. Hope I'm wrong but the next good result might not come until she plays on grass or hardcourt.

silly defeat really, she should be able to beat Peng, whatever surface she's on. She did win the Mixed at RG last year ;)
