But for some reason, I think Peng might give her a tough match if they meet in the 2nd round. I think she has to be focused since her opponent has already played a match in the tournament. Good luck, Tati! AK-DH Fan May 15th, 2005, 06:46 AM Yeah I definately think Peng is dangerous. She's playing pretty well and also has an extra match. Tati just has to come out playing well from the begining imo. I really hope she can play well here:) am13 May 15th, 2005, 12:07 PM Yes, a good draw... Any dangerous player before the 1/2... ALLEZ TATI !!! Harju. May 15th, 2005, 03:51 PM It's a decent draw, hopefully she can capitalize it. Allez Tati. andrewbroad May 15th, 2005, 04:27 PM Allez Tatiana! Get your first WTA title here! :) -- Dr. Andrew Broad http://www.geocities.com/andrewbroad/ (http://www.geocities.com/andrewbroad/) http://www.geocities.com/andrewbroad/tennis/ (http://www.geocities.com/andrewbroad/tennis/) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jeldani/ (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/jeldani/) HTE May 15th, 2005, 06:15 PM Good luck Tati but watch out for Peng :) selyoink May 16th, 2005, 03:29 AM This is a tournament for Tati to win in my opinion. She is the most talented player in the draw and the best as well. Good luck Tati! yukon145 May 16th, 2005, 03:47 AM Tati is certianly the hottest player in the draw too martirogi May 16th, 2005, 05:08 PM peng and farina elia are dangerous tho :scared: if tati has an off day against one of those it won't be pretty tennisrulz8 May 17th, 2005, 02:08 AM Good luck Tati!! beat them all. yukon145 May 17th, 2005, 04:24 AM im not sure why anyone hasn't posted that Tati is reported to be working with Brad Gilbert now. i think its only for the French and Wimbledon though. sorry the article is in French and i have forgotten most of my 2 years of French from high school. i think its a good move. any coach is better than no coach. and even though i hate Gilbert i think he will be good with Tati. they have worked together in the past, hopfully the partnership will work out. im guessing this is perhaps a trial, and if it works well maybe it will become full time. but we will have to wait and see. martirogi May 17th, 2005, 04:59 PM ive always thought gilbert would be a good coach for tati, but now i dont know. what if she improves at first but then levels off like roddick. maybe the tactics he teaches are good, but then it's hard for a player to change from them and people figure out how to beat them. i dont know what i just said. probably doesnt make any sense. rseto May 17th, 2005, 06:04 PM I think it makes sense. :) I hope that they don't change too much in their relationship since it was working well. Tati seemed to talk with Brad a lot now and in the past. Maybe Brad can show up for a practice or two and do some scouting. Since Brad has been helpful in the past I'm just hoping it won't lead to any "bad" results at the FO and Wimbledon. I might change my mind if she goes into a slump. :tape: AK-DH Fan May 17th, 2005, 10:36 PM Well, as expected tati plays against Peng tomorow. Hope she starts off on fire:) GOOD LUCK TATI!!!!!!!!!! ZAK May 17th, 2005, 10:51 PM I think working with Gilbert will be postive, if things go well at the Fench Open and Wimbledon, perhaps it will become more longterm. Good luck against Peng, Tati!!! selyoink May 18th, 2005, 12:38 AM This match could possibly be Tati's toughest of the tournament. If she wins this match she should at least get to the semi-finals. Good luck Tati! Melusine May 18th, 2005, 06:35 AM Good luck Tati :bounce:  yukon145 May 18th, 2005, 04:23 PM well this sucks. i hope Tati can get out of the first round at the French. i don't want Tati playing anyone around her age for a few rounds. but i have a bad feeling Tati is gonna draw Ana Ivanovic first round, i dont think Ivanovic is seeded. AK-DH Fan May 18th, 2005, 04:54 PM Damn it. I was afraid this was gonna happen:( I know she's had two tough first rounds, but I think this one was winnable. Hope this doesn't damage her confidence. Shoot- I really thought she could pull this one out:( martirogi May 18th, 2005, 05:55 PM ana is seeded something like 30, so its ok. tho vaidisova isn't :scared: rseto May 18th, 2005, 06:44 PM Well, another long three set loss. Does she train on red clay in Paris because her results on it have been bad since last year?! This also sucks since many of the other seeds had already lost. I'm hoping for the best but not sure what to expect at the FO. Hope I'm wrong but the next good result might not come until she plays on grass or hardcourt. selyoink May 18th, 2005, 07:09 PM Not a good result. I hope she does well at the French although not sure how likely that is. HTE May 18th, 2005, 07:15 PM silly defeat really, she should be able to beat Peng, whatever surface she's on. She did win the Mixed at RG last year ;) excerpt from wtatour.com: "While Dechy and Cohen-Aloro clinched spots in the quarters, No.2 seed Tatiana Golovin wasn't as fortunate, falling to China's Shuai Peng in three sets, 64 36 75. "I really have a hard time moving around on the red clay," Golovin said. "My shots aren't as effective against my opponents on this surface. I'm obviously disappointed to lose my first match, but I feel I played better than I did in Rome and that's the positive feeling I'll take from today. Also, it felt great to be seeded No.2 and to have a full stadium of fans cheering for me." Golovin and Suarez weren't the only seeds to exit the tournament on Day 3 as No.5 seed Ai Sugiyama and No.7 Amy Frazier were also ousted in second round action. " ZAK May 18th, 2005, 07:20 PM This sucks for Tati. Hopefully she can get things ready for the French wurzelman May 18th, 2005, 07:47 PM Unlucky Tati, but hopefully she gets some bad performances out of the way before the FO, then rip up the field there. :D beauty_is_pink May 18th, 2005, 10:08 PM good fight from Tati's side, lets be prepare to fight in RG!!! allllleeezzz!!! Irish May 19th, 2005, 01:38 AM Tatiana...tough and close match  Wish for the very best at RG!!!!!!!!!!! :D martirogi May 19th, 2005, 01:40 AM definately no more thread titles like this, tati cant handle it. yukon145 May 19th, 2005, 05:29 AM definately no more thread titles like this, tati cant handle it. agreed  Tati's first title will come soon enough.
