1st round vs Razzano, a young solid player who has been playing great clay court tennis lately. She reached SF of Amelia Island, beating Molik, Sugiyama, and Zvonareva on her way there. She lost to María Alejandra Vento Kabchi last week in Rome, though.
They played once in Sarasota 2002, Virginie won 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.

La tenista argentina Paola Suarez, 29 del listado internacional, se clasificó hoy para los octavos de final del WTA de Estrasburgo, en Francia, con u$s170 mil en premios.
Suárez, octava preclasificada del certamen francés, superó en su presentación a la local Virginie Razzano por 6-1 y 7-6. Su rival, en la próxima vuelta, será otra francesa, Stephanie Cohen-Aloro quien hoy eliminó a la eslovaca Katarina Kachlikova por 6-3 y 7-6.
