Sorry :o ,

I received wrong information from one of the players this morning  .

Qualies sign-in will take place today from 16:30 until around 18:30.

Qualies draw will be prepared tomorrow morning, and matches will follow  .

I'll post therefore both qualies draw and results tomorrow :D .

You mean seeing your family is not a holiday ;) .

You done a great job. I can't wait to see your album.

BTW, Takao Suzuki didn't come to the tournament. I think he stay at the hotel to save his energy to play single againt Paradorn.

Luckily Thailand team wins double today and leads 2-1.

Hey Steveg,:wavey:

Good morning, I could not find Prariyawan Rattanakrong in qualify draw. Is she recieving main draw wild cards or she did not sign in.

Sadly Wilawan and Chattida were out from the tournament.

Congrats to Napapron, I just met her mother yesterday. :hearts: :hearts:

Morning Jiro.

Prariywan decided not to play in Hochiminh City I think. She did not come.

I think Wilawan was out of energy in the last set but she put up a good fight.

Chattida was a bit too slow to be in the match. She plays well but lacks a bit of confidence. As soon as there's someone to support her she plays a bit better. I think she lacks a bit of match practice. Otherwise she has some good strokes and can move well. She played a tough opponent yesterday. The match was tighter than the score suggests with several games going to deuce. Chattida is a fine young lady. Would you say she is the one you know best in the group of these 3 players ;) .

Napaporn played a good match with many winners.

Janice Combs (coach of Natalia Dziamidzenka) :

Alain "Aceman" Vincent had asked me to take a picture of her. So I went to see her and her coach today, asking the authorisation to take a picture of Natalia at Alain's request.

Her coach bluntly refused, claiming she did not know what Alain would be doing with this picture later ( )and that she would be sending one to him directly (contradictory, isn't it  ).

She is the only person during the tournament who refused a photo to be taken of her / her player.

I met this coach earlier this week on Friday morning, while I was returning from my tennis training session. I did not know her and we had never met before. She looked at me and said : "You don't look Vietnamese."

Either it is some private joke I don't understand of her sense of humour is coming directly from the twilight zone. Anyway, it is the first time I meet someone addressing me this way as a form of greeting  .

Great photos, Steve. Looks warm and sunny too! Just like at the British tournaments in January and February (although it was obviously a smaller team there) the Chinese team looks very united and they're all supporting eachother.

Thanks bluepastures. Yeah, it is a great team. Nan Nan and Ting spend quite some time together (incl. training) while the others stick together. There could be some preferences, which is normal. But all in all, it is a very united team. They were all here again to support Jing Jing today.

Today, the organisers checked if it was not too hot (in which case matches would have been delayed  ). It has not been raining here for a couple of months now   . I just hope it won't start now  .

I presume Maki was formerly Yuki Arai?

At least she didn't change her surname and I won't have to worry about realphebetizing her in my database! :)
