1.
2. Joy Division (cuz the dead guy is there otherwise I'd say New Order)
3. Big Country (another dead guy)
4. Fun Boy Three (white guy banged Jane Wiedlin of the GoGos and co-wrote "Our Lips Are Sealed")
5. Romeo Void (would have been more successful in the Pre-Video age :p )
6. Frankie Goes To Hollywood (lead singer HIV+)
7. Adam & The Ants (my fave 80s New Wave Group!!! Ant People Are The Warriors!!!)
8. Dexys Midnight Runners (name is slang for speed/uppers)
9.
10. Human League (best songs of the New Wave Era  )
11. Bananarama (Fun Boy 3's cheesecake sideact)
12. Tears For Fears? (bad picture - one of the last great New Wave acts)
13. The Smiths? (never liked those depressing losers)
14.
15. English Beat (or General Public, I always get them confused)
16. Belle Starrs (1 video hit wonders but good tune "Sign of the Times")
17.
18. Bow Wow Wow (I still have a crush on that chick, great backstory - Malcolm McClaren fucked over Adam Ant to start Bow Wow Wow and ended up screwing over Bow Wow Wow for Culture Club)
19. A Flock of Seagulls (Poster Children of the New Wave Movement - when most people think of New Wave, they think of this guy's hair  )
20.

:fiery: arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!! I was going to guess Simple Minds but it would have been a total guess because I thought the guy all the way in the back looked like the lead singer. :smash:

They were only a one hit wonder in the States; but my English friends talk about them like they were the Rolling Stones of the 80s or something. :tape:

One hit wonder in the US? Was it "Don't You Forget About Me?" I know that was in The Breakfast Club movie which would have helped it in America.

Well done kiwi on getting all of the other ones in your first post. I would never have been able to get all of those :)

 Thanks Avid. Yeah, Jim and me - almost family :p

So all that's left to get are number 1, number 14 and number 20?

Yes, I was sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sick of that song before I ever saw the movie (I'm the same age as the movie actors were in 1984 - so Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles, etc. were MY movies) .

Then I saw the movies and all was forgiven; I love the movie and because of that, I now love the song (I know, I'm :retard:  )

I don't remember the group's name but the video was HILARIOUS!! :haha: The guy in the photo (with the mic in his hand) looks just like the guy who was wearing Renaissance Period clothes back in the day.
