Dominika Cibulkova will play 4 tournaments in USA

BRATISLAVA - Slovak tennis player Dominika Cibulkova will travel on Friday to USA, where will she play 4 americans WTA tournaments.

"The way from Vienna across Munich to Los Angeles and from there to Indian Wells will be circa 18 hours, but we will go there with Dominik Hrbaty and Ivo Klec and it will be funny." said for agency SITA coach of Dominika Vladimir Platenik and continued: "Dominika is after 2 weeks break. She relaxed and she is ok. She had time to work on conditional training, what is before 6 weeks of tournament very important. Form of Dominika is good and she will have else 4 days before starting of Indian Wells time to improve."

She is current 40th on renking and in february played really well in Doha. First she won over Lucia Safarova, then Patty Schnyder and Venus Villiams. In quarterfinal she lost against Agnieszka Radwanska.

"I know, that win over Venus was for Dominika emocianal bomb, which she didnt know to consume. We were dissapointed that she didnt win against Radwanska, but it is difficult to excpect that from 18 years old girl. She need more experiences in so difficult matches." said Platenik and continued: "I know, that Daniela Hantuchova in the same age won in Indian Wells 6 years ago, but we must go step by step. It would be great, if she would play here in Indian Wells and in Miami in 2nd week of these tournaments, but it will depends on draw."

After these 2 tournaments will Dominika play in Amelia Island and Charleston. "Last year after Miami she started to train in Amelia Island and she played here well. It would be great, if she would be in renking till French Open in TOP 30. After Fed Cup will she play in Prague, Berlin and Rome and then in Paris (French Open).

Another great win for Domi. She just finds a way to win. She battles and battles and out works her opponents. I noticed that the 1st time I saw her play when she was 14 and she has kept that trait. It will take her a long ways

wow lucky him to be part of the team. the other two men look like they could be brothers and one of them is particularly lucky to have her arm around him :fiery:

What I dont understand is that she withdrew from the singles due to an injury, but at this moment she's playing a doubles match with Husarova :confused: I'm glad to see the injury isn't that serious but i've rarely witnessed this so still a bit confused :lol:

yeah... i agree... in her case, the more there is of you, the more there is to injure... packs a heap into the tiny frame tho...

she can certainly benefit from her ranking at this stage... i had some money on her to break the top 40 by the end of last november... good odds... but... didnt get the chocolates...

but, with her ranking, she doesnt need to play a whiole heap of sh!tty little tourneys any more and can get up for the big tier 1's, 2's and GS's...

if her management do not sort that out then... for sure we can expect her to be in and out of rehab every couple of weeks... hopefully now she's up in the top 30 they havent promised a packed schedule to a load of tourneys...

I'm joining the bandwagon. She's a really talented player. And she put up a really good fight in the 1st set in the finals against Sharapova in Amelia Island. I expect big things from her in the near future. :)

I don't want to interfere in Dominika private life... but the joy of sensual pleasure is very bad for tennis....
Take a look at other players... every time they were "involved" with someone their tennis suffered... a lot. Look at Sharapova... when she was involved in a relation her tennis results droped... the same for Serena Williams.... the same for Henin... last year she was in a divorce... her tennis soared A LOT... look how many titles she won... Now I heard that she found someone... her losing streak has just started. Serena crushed her in the last matches. I don't want to interfere in Dominika's life... far from it... I say it one more time. But she should be very careful with this because her tennis might suffer. I wish her all the best and good luck in the tournaments.
