Hi Henry,

it's alright. I am looking through another channel. I have personally a scanner but I don't have the magazine. I have good hope to find someone who has both ;) .

Easter holidays in Paris region will start April 12 evening if not mistaken. So Nicolas has only a bit more than one week to bear with his students :) .

don't rely on me for live scores at Hochiminh City, I will be in the stands :p . I will however post scores when I return home at night (should be around 22:00).

So scores will be available faster than at Saratosa for instance (Janet and Wynne playing on 30 minutes) !!!

Talking of Janet, did you see that she is now posting some messages in her website :bounce: !!! She is replying to posts :D !

Well done Angie. She has shifted gear now  !

Apr 3rd, 2002, 01:39 PM

Apr 3rd, 2002, 02:20 PM
Thanks Henry,

I intend to post loads of pics ;) .

Apr 3rd, 2002, 02:24 PM
Wow :bounce: :bounce: that would be great Steve.

Btw, I have checked Janet's website, and it's great, especially that you got a response from Janet herself, just like Angie did in her website.

I hope Wynne could answer us in the Ed Toombs' website.
I should have told her when I met her back in January :(

Apr 3rd, 2002, 02:30 PM
Janet is certainly a very kind person and I felt bad her website was not checked more often / more messages were left on her message board.

I know she really appreciate it. If you have some time, do leave a message to her as well. She will be very pleased :) .

As for Wynne, I understand she is not internet oriented as Janet and does not have much time available to connect, let alone to read / reply to messages. Too bad as I am certain she is a very interesting person.

She was however kind enough to give me 30 minutes of her time in Thailand last November to hit the ball with me. I am really thankful to her for her time. It is an experience I will never forget :hearts: .

Apr 3rd, 2002, 02:35 PM
OMG, you hit with Wynne
I want to hit with her too :bounce: :bounce:

I am sure she is nice. And I think you're right (about she is not internet oriented).

As for Janet, I saw you left lots of messages. Good on you. I'll try to post messages too :D

Apr 3rd, 2002, 02:54 PM

Apr 3rd, 2002, 06:32 PM
Wow!!! congrats Angie! nice comeback i guess her opponent was really dissapointed that she lost the 2nd set, and didn't have any more strength to play the 3rd

great effort Angie! he showed her mental toughness! job well done!

They are a bit slow to update the scores, but I have read on Danish txt that Eva Dyrberg will play tomorrow (dunno if it right or not) but it can mean some 2nd rd matches first will be played on Thursday. They only showed this one match on TV today.

About this match, I think Angie won because she make less UEs in the second set and also 3rd set, and her oppenent start to make also many UEs in the last set. and also she had nothing left in the last set, after losing the second set.

But I hope there will be time for 2 matches tomorrow, matches on TV start at 16:00 local time, 14:00 CET (European time)

And to Angie's brother, IF they show her next match (against I hope Eva) I'll again post scores! :)

Apr 3rd, 2002, 09:52 PM

Apr 4th, 2002, 03:12 AM
I just thought I would say Laurence is ranked some 30 odd places below Angelique and should be congratulated as well for putting in a terrific performance. Widjaja was the favorite in this match. :)

That said, Congrats Angelique on a great win :)

Apr 4th, 2002, 03:50 AM
