It's awesome that she won the match. What counts is that Marie improves her mental game so that she doesn't battle it out in matches where she should be blowing opponents off the court. I know she'll do it! She's already improving a lot it seems! Career high of #116 just last week!

Canadians fan don't worry about Marie-Eve.

I was told about that Yamile eas losing easily and started to moonballing , then Pelletier suddenly became impacient and did tones of mistakes.

a friend of mine was there and said that Marie Eve was the best player which he saw at this competition. He also enjoyed Wozniak , Larissa and the style game of Castellvi.

YES THAT TRUE
IT WAS HERE IN MY HOMETOWN-BRASILIA, BRASIL.

I SAW ALL THE MATCHES AND LARISSA WAS SELECTED BY FAR THE BEST PLAYER.
SHE ALSO BEAT ZULUAGA 75 64:eek:
VENTO KABCHI 67 61 61:eek:
I REMEMBER ALSO BERNAL CUZ SHE HAD A GREAT SERVICE AND WON A MATCH VS MARIANA MESA-3 HOURS AND....... BOTH PLAYERS FOUGHT A LOT.
THAT DOUBLES MATCH WAS SO FUNNY TO WATCH! LARISSA DESTROY THE CANADIANS WITH EXCELENT RETURNS AND SMART GAME.
I REMEMBER I TALKED TO HER SHE WAS VERY NICE AND I TALKED TO FABIOLA ALSO.
EVERYONE THERE WERE TALKING ABOUT DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW LARISSA WERE NOT A TOP 100 PLAYER. AT THE TIME SHE WAS 175 RANKED. WHAT A GREAT GAME!!!! EVERYONE WAS IMPRESSED  GREAT FOREHAND:eek: AND ALSO PISSED OFF ABOUT BRAZILIANS POOR:rolleyes:  PERFORMANCE AS USUAL:rolleyes:

MIRIAM DAGOSTINI LOST ALL HER MATCHES---ONE OF THEM VS A CHILEAN PLAYER 600 IN THE WORLD--RIDICULOUS:rolleyes:
VANESSA MENGA PLAYED WELL LOST ONLY TO SONIA JEYSEELAN
AND A PATHETIC PLAYER FROM BRAZIL--EUGENIA MAIA:rolleyes: :o THE WORST BY FAR IN THAT TOURNAMENT WAS BAGELED BY WHO:rolleyes:  :o THAT PLAYER I REALLY DON'T KNOW WAS SELECTED IN THE TEAM. SHE HASN'T NO GAME AT ALL!!!!! RIDICULOUS:lol:     HER SERVICE WAS WEAK AS COETZER SERVICES, NO WEAPONS AND SHE WAS ACTING LIKE A STAR---REAL BITCH---MENGA WAS ALSO LIKE THAT REAL BITCH TOO!!!!! AND MIRIAM WAS DICUSSING WITH THE PUBLIC ALL THE TIME IN A MATCH THAT JEYSEELAN AND SIMPSON -ALTER CRASHED HER AND MENGA( WHO PLAYED) 6-1 6-2. sonia was all the time returning the service in Miriam's foot:lol:     all the public was         .

Can I ask why the Americas group is ALWAYS played in South America on slow red clay? The best teams in the draw are not South American?

Probably because if it was In Canada, it would be too expensive for them to travel that far and many contries would not play (like Paraguay, Ecuador, Bolivia). And most teams are from South America so it makes sense to have the tournament there.
It's not like it made any difference in the tie between Canada and Puerto Rico.
