To those who know about stats and rank. could you state theoretically what Serena's rank could be if she won the title? Or even is she made the final, but lost the title?

By, ranking, do you mean Officially sanctioned WTA ranking?

I could, but I won't bother

Uh yeah. She is #7 now and I wonder if she won the FCC or even made the final just how much will she jump in rank?:) Or will she jump at all?

Theoretically as high as #3 or #4 with a title, but Seles would have to lose in R2 2 weeks in a row. But, with Seles out, Serena won't get as many quality points, therefore may only get to #4 instead of #3 so it's kind of a double edged sword.
It's too early to figure and it's all subjective on who actually plays and how far those players progress through the draw. Keep in mind Hingis is losing 300 points soon and Monica will jump Lindsay and Hingis to #3 in 2 weeks.
Is Kim playing here - she could keep Serena down to #5 if she is.

...and it's subjective to Serena's performance as well...
She is only a few hundred up Henin... So, it's tough to tell.

Ok thank you Seles, so it seems that IF Serena makes it to a final or wins that she could jump #5 or higher. Of course I know this is all subjective, and depends on other players. :)

I've been a ranking and # cruncher for some time...
I'd expect w/her current level of play to do well there and get to #4 or #5.

Serena could move up but not sure. Although, one this is. The winner of Charleston will remain at #1.;)
