Paola is 0-3 in singles this year but with back to back doubles titles she should be confident of progressing passed the early rounds in Miami. I think she should make it to R3 and continue her great record v Schnyder and beat her in 3 closely contested sets. R4 shapes up as a tough match versus Venus. I think Paola will give her a real scare in R4 if the suface is slow. She is steadily improving with each match back and I think she'll do well here, and find some of her 2003-04 form in time for the start of the clay season. Despite a slow start this will be another big year for Poli!

She is really having trouble rebounding from her injury in her singles play. She is still great in doubles. Hopefully she just needs that one win to get her confidence back.

Met Suarez after her doubles match tonight. What a class act.. she signed and took pictures for everyone, as did Ruano Pascual. She even gave away her sweat bands. Managed to get them both on one of those oversized tennis balls. I will always be a fan..
