All I can say is I heard of her right now with your help IDing her, but her picture immediately caught my eye, the girl is gorgeous!
If she makes good results, she would definitely be new Kournikova/Ana Ivanovic!
I must even say she is better looking then any of the current player with "hot girl" label!
Can't wait to see her make it big!

Can't wait to see her make it big!Camille has one sister and one brother. They're all good players in France (top 200). But I'm not sure that they have the potential one day to enter WTA top 300. Each year, she gets a WC in Saint Malo because she comes from Rennes (britain biggest town). But she's still going to school as Alizé Lim. First step is to win Itf 10 K$. And it's already difficult for her.

Camille won't play so much tennis this year because she wasted her exams last year. Therefore she came back at normal school and trained only once a day. However she also said she really wants to become tennis player later and will train harder after her exams.

Oh, that is not good news.Considering how all the players who really want to become professional train and just train without going to proper school. They're focusing just on tennis, 24/7, two trainings a day...you know yourself.
Cause girls like Laura Robson and other girls will be much ahead of Camille then.
I believe it will be hard for Camille to become a really *good* pro player with playing "after the school".
But thanks for the info!Where do you get all these pictures of her from?:bounce::hearts:
This one you have now is yaaaay Camille, fierce!!
And her school, is she going to the senior year of high school or?

Good luck against Jill! You beat her 7-5 in the third earlier this year. ;)

What a start, 3-0 up .

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 02:30 AM
4-1 up. :hearts: Lol, she's doing better on second serve than first serve. DFs up to 3 already. So apart from the DFs she has won every pt on second serve (8 of 11).

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 02:48 AM
5-2 up. Mathilde saves some BPs (saved 4 of 4 so far). Hasn't lost any pts on second serve yet, except for DFs. 10 of 14 on second serves. But how long can that last? Oh, Jill has caught the DF bug, DF no. 2 for Jill.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 02:49 AM
Double set pt, double BP on Jill's serve . Second serve...

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 02:51 AM
First set 6-2 to Mathilde. She serves first in the second set. She kept holding in that set, but partly that was because of some amazing numbers on her second serve. She has to win some more pts on her first serve in this second set I think.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 02:58 AM
lol, already broken, she's losing points on second serve and first serve now :o. And Jill goes 30-0 up.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:03 AM
Double break 3-0 :tape:. Looks like it's going the distance.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:07 AM
One break back. 1-3.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:14 AM
2-3, trying to break back a second time, 0-40 on Jill's serve.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:16 AM
From 0-40 to Ad Jill :o.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:17 AM
Jill holds from 0-40 :o :smash:. That was such a great opportunity to try to put pressure on and finish the match in straight sets. Now more than likely it will go to three.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:20 AM
15-40 on Mathilde's serve. Exactly as expected. Now loses her serve, to go down 5-2 in the second. So predictable.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:21 AM
She will need to start the third well, assuming it does go to three. It is much harder to come back in the third than in the second set.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:24 AM
Saves one set point. Deuce on Jill's serve.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:26 AM
One set apiece. Mathilde serves first in the third. I'm not sure whether this is advantageous or not. In theory, serving first should help her establish a good lead with only a single break, eg 4-1 with only one break. But on the WTA...

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:32 AM
Deuce, serving in the first game. Pivotal game here I think, particularly crucial for Mathilde to establish a position in this set and stop the momentum from the second set.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:38 AM
17 pt game and she loses her serve. Has to break back immediately.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:42 AM
2-0 to Jill. Not looking good.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:46 AM
3-0 double break again :o.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:50 AM
4-0 now .

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:55 AM
:tape: :o 5-0.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:56 AM
She has not won a game since she let Jill off the hook at 2-3, 0-40. That long 17 pt game at the start of the third set was also pivotal. And it doesn't look like she will win another one.

HowardH
Oct 15th, 2009, 03:58 AM
Well that was bad. Good first set I suppose. 6-2 2-6 0-6. Lost the last 9 games. Mathilde :help:  .

Edit: looking at the vid dos Santos posted (not such clear quality but you can still tell what's happening) I see that Mathilde was attacking a lot and playing nice aggressive tennis. I think if she keeps doing that she will rise in the rankings over time.

She's on MD AO entry list. That's not the problem. She will play there.

Her question concerns South American tournaments on clay (Cali, Bogota, Acapulco). I suppose she also wants to play Paris gdf. But imo, clay is the best surface for her. So let's come back to south America.

Come to you to give you some news.
My preparation period is over, it was difficult but necessary. Overall my results with different tests are better than last year, with a marked improvement in speed and strength in the legs and arms. I'll start the competition beginning of January. I'm not sure of my next destination.
I returned to Sweden on Tuesday to spend the christmas period with family. Despite this "break", I have two workouts and two tennis physical training to follow. so I'll be careful not to excess even though the temptation will strong. Anyway I tell myself it would be a shame to lose all the benefits of my preparation for a few slices of foie gras. The elite level is also to be careful..
In your case. do not hold, on the contrary ...

They live 30 kms from Paris, not far from my mum's home. So, she grew up most of the time in France, won France Championship u16 one year after Marion Bartoli in 2000. And like all the u16 champions, fft has decided to support her financially until now. Her coach is a fft coach she's paying.

http://www.republicain-lorrain.fr/fr/images/1EBFDD01-C6F7-449D-8362-19208047DD84/LRL_03/mathilde-johansson-et-roland-garros-c-est-toujours-un-plaisir-d-y-revenir-photo-gilles-wirtz.jpg

What a good looking match up that was. Pity it ended that way for Mathilde. I didn't expect her to win, but she played some nice shots. Some of her fhs were lovely. She showed me today that she can hit a very big fh, almost in the league of Julia's (which is one of the biggest out there).

Unfortunate ending. But having followed her for a while, I can say that her serving has actually improved a bit. She only succumbed to the pressure of serving on the big points. In previous years you would have seen DFs from the very beginning of the match.

I hope she has a good season. Her form looks promising, and I'm sure she will continue to work on that serve, particularly after the way she finished the match.

I don't know what she said but she is so cute who cares! :hearts:
Her serve has really improved. :yeah: Too bad the match ended the way it did. She always seems to get a difficult draw in the majors.
Like to see her get into the top fifty this year! Good luck Mathilde! :)

That was quite the same for me. Julia Goerges really is one of my favorite players but i also like Mathilde. In the video, she basically says that she is happy with the pics she made. Good luck to her in next tournaments.

Mathilde served for the match against Pennetta in the second and third sets and ended up losing the third set 7-5. :( She double faulted I believe 14 times especially when she twice served for the match. :o
Other than the serve she outplayed Pennetta and should have won the match.
She definitely has psycological problems when she has to serve to win a match! :help:

That was a shame. She played some very nice tennis, some great returns and some big groundies. Flavia hung in there long enough and retrieved a lot of balls (her defence is much better than Mathilde's), but I thought Mathilde had a good chance to win (she most likely had to break at 5-4 to win).

Mathilde was also up 3-0 in the final set and had points to get a double break (4-0) which would have probably been enough to win.

That's too far away. She needs to play another hard court tournament before Cincinnati even it's a ITF event. She's not on Vancouver, Bronx and Toronto entry list. And she's alternate on Newhaven entry list.

So, her schedule before USO should be :
- Qualies in Cincy
- Qualies or MD in Newhaven
