The Dutch are in a somber mood about their country, you do not need poles to know that, but today TV program Netwerk did it any way and showed the results on television. Dutch people where asked to give their opinion about Dutch society and rank it with a number between 0 and 100. The results are as expected, alarmingly low.

When asked how much they where satisfied about the current state of Dutch society, they gave on average only 36 points out of 100.

But the all time low was for their trust of governments and politics. When asked, how much they where satisfied about politics? They Dutch gave 31 points out of 100. An other remarkable result of the pole was that a majority of the people thought that the politicians made thinks worse for Dutch society. Dutch government and politicians clearly have legitimacy problems.

A pretty bleak picture, not surprisingly Dutch emigrations have never been higher than since 1954.

The Dutch were stupid enough to vote for rightwing political parties never truely looking at their political agendas. Some voted because those parties were in league with Fortuijn, other voted "against"PvdA.

Now those people are the first to bitch and moan.
