(1010 WINS) (NEW YORK) A former employee of Lizzie Grubman's public relations firm has filed a $6 million lawsuit saying Grubman reneged on promises to make her a partner in the company and get her a job on an MTV reality show.

Brenda Loughery, who claimed she worked for Grubman from 1997 until December 2004, said Grubman's promises were made after Loughery was put in charge of the publicity firm, LGPR Inc., and kept it going while Grubman was in jail.

Grubman, 33, pleaded guilty in 2002 to assault and leaving the scene of an accident after she backed her SUV into a crowd outside a Hamptons nightclub, injuring 16 people, and fled. She served 37 days of a 60-day sentence at the Suffolk County jail, with time off for good behavior.

On June 14, 2004, Loughery said in court papers, she and Grubman entered into a contract that included provisions making her a partner in LGPR and promising her an associate producer's job on the MTV show being developed for Grubman.

The show, scheduled to start on MTV March 10, is called "PoweR Girls" and includes a look at the work day of Grubman and her associates.

Loughery's court papers say the contract also provided for her to be equal partners with Grubman in another company formed to produce a clothing line and engage in other entertainment opportunities.

Grubman's alleged breach of contract was "malicious, fraudulent and oppressive," said Loughery's lawsuit, which seeks $1 million on each of six claims.

Grubman denied Loughery's claims and allegations, her lawyer said.

"Ms. Loughery has chosen to address these matters in a judicial forum, and Ms. Grubman will vigorously defend against Ms. Loughery's claims in the courts," Grubman lawyer John Rosenberg said.

Grubman has promoted artists such as pop singers Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys and rapper Jay-Z.
