Mary sure can beat her.

Wonder what the crowd will be like cheering for two French Girls playing against each other.

A Melbourne, on a fêté mes trente ans ensemble.

As always I don't like this kind of match, but, this time it's Mary's second match and Amelie first round, so why not.

I'm sure Mary has the power and the experience to handle Amelie. If she can keep balls inside the court and push back Amelie behing the back line, she has good chances to win. Even if she loose, it will not be disapointing, after all Amelie has a better ranking !!

Great win for today let's see second round now

Yay go Mary! It's not fair having to face Amelie in the second round though, would've been good for the final.

Good luck Mary :bounce:
But I can't really choose, i like them both, damn draw.

Congrats Mary! Great match! Go and beat Momo!!!!!!!!

If Momo is under huge pressure she alsways dissapoints. But it's not Grand Slam, especially RG, so...But I think that mary has a chance to beat her. For her it's a 2nd match, for Momo 1st. Keep finges, guys!
Btw, did someone watch yesterday's match? If yes, any details? What about Mary's moving?

Great win Mary....what a scoreline!!!!:bounce: :bounce:

Its a shame Mary had to face Amelie so early in the tournament....Mary could have been given a better draw...and face Amelie later...that would've been a better matchup....

However...Mary has beaten Amelie in the Italian Open 1999 semifinals in 3 sets...she played a lot of moonballs in that match to throw Amelie off her rhythm...but Amelie beat Mary in the same tourney the year after.....so its anybody's match, I guess...

I hope Mary will play her natural game and go for her shots before Amelie begins to gain control of the rallies...

GOOD LUCK MARY!!!!:bounce: :bounce:

Mary will not play moon ball for sure it's not a clay court.
The first player who's going to be into the match will win.

This match is not a "mary against Amélie" match ...

it's "Mary against the world" because the tournament clearly wants Amélie to win this match and reach the final against Serena Williams !

All hope Mauresmo will win ! And i'm sure the most part of this stupid French crowd will support Amélie ...

I hope Mary will do her best, but it will be so difficult ! Mauresmo is n°4, she said she 100% ...

Oh Gosh ! This match seems to be too much difficult to hope the win, and at the same time, Mary has to win to show that she's definitely THE BEST FRENCH PLAYER :fiery:
