Aaliyah in Queen Of The Damned... not because of the greatness of the movie, or the acting skills are whatever. Just the fact she herself died before it hit theathers made it kinda... well... yeah...

Why is Scream (#9) so high?
Have you seen the movie? The opening scene was fuckin' great! Best death scene ever in all Scream series!

Jan 26th, 2005, 03:16 PM
I think the Wicked Witch should be #2 behind the shower scene in Psycho. Some others.......

1. Captain Needa and Admiral Ozzel in The Empire Strikes Back. Choked by Vader using the force.
2. The Emperor in Return of the Jedi: I LOVE when Vader dumps him down the shaft!
3. Princess Leia strangling Jabba the Hutt
4. Madeline in Vertigo. Although it sort of pisses me off.
5. Ursula the Sea Witch in The Little Mermaid
6. Scar in The Lion King

Jan 26th, 2005, 03:26 PM

I saw it, but I find it unworthy, and a lame "contemporary" addition.

Kind of like listing Justin Timberlake among the "50 greatest pop stars of all time."

Jan 26th, 2005, 03:28 PM
Speaking of actually rather cool ways to go (like 21! :D ) I always kinda envied that old Admiral guy in 'Goldeneye' who gets sqeezed to death between crazy/sexy/cool Famke Janssen's thighs...  Love the bit where later his body turns up with a huge everlasting grin on its face... :D

There is a hugely satisfying death in Leon, where Jean Reno gets a cool revenge over sadistic Gary Oldman...

I agree.THE best opening death sequence i have ever seen in any movie..to kill off a character like that in the first few minutes of the movie was amazingly done..it just seemed too real..which is what creeped me out..but i was a little kid when i first saw this lol so I would probably be reacting differently now.

Unnamed from Hero (Ying Xiong) was in my opinion the most spine-chilling death, having spent his whole life fighting for his cause to sacrifice his own life and not defend himself in order to be a hero :worship:

Roy Batty's death scene in Blade Runner is the most touching I have ever seen in a movie. I have replayed that scene hundreds of times by now and know by heart every single line spoken during it.

Danny's drowning in Leave Her to Heaven (http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0037865/) should be on the list. Gene Tierney just sits there in the canoe and watches him go under.

(BTW: Don't post so many photos. They show up as links here and make posts much more difficult to read.)

My favorite death scene was in the Last Samurai, when the leader riddled by buellets kept on charging, as he finally fell of his horse and fell ( beautifully) on the grass.
